As part of Women's month we yesterday had an interview highlighting the plight of women in prison, particularly pregnant women.
Former prisoner Morwesi Theledi was imprisoned for defrauding a bank she worked for as a senior employee. Theledi narrated difficult conditions pregnant women endured in prison. Today we invited the Department of Correctional Services to tell us how the department upholds the rights of pregnant women and their infants.
The department's spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo joins us in studio to give us some insights.
