Dele was lost before Mourinho arrived. Jose did well to revitalise him a little bit, but he was a lost cause. A real shame.

@@gmac673 there are people out there who will just agree with you to make you go away and then do nothing about what was said. This dude is so obviously one of those people you can assume Jose tried joking about it to say he is aware of it, then telling him off about it, then also spoke to him privately. Doesn't matter how you tell a wall to change - it isn't able to listen and reflect on what is said. This player is/was like that.

@@BsetXOXO doesn’t matter how Deli Alli was, this was a private matter between player and manager that should have stayed that way. The minute Mourinho made the situation public was the end of any working relationship and it was also unprofessional.

He has 2 choose, train hard to show him wrong or take it personal, quit trying and he goes with the 2nd option. He's not having a mind set of a big player to raise, he choose to give up.

@@minhgiangtuan96 you’re missing the point. I have no issue with Mourinho having a go at any player who deserves it, my issue is with him doing it in public the way he does. It is poor judgment and poor man management on the part of someone who self proclaims to be such a great manager.

I have a great deal of sympathy for Dele having just read his personal details. His Nigerian Father left a week after his birth and moved to The USA. His Mum was an alcoholic who brought him up until he was 9 then he spent 2 years in Nigeria with his Dad and then returned to his Mum for 2 more years until he was,unofficially, adopted by The Hickfords at 13 years old..... Makes you weep ....

Nobody seems to talk about his real issues and reasoning for his decline. It's quite well known he abuses alcohol and relatively well known he abuses sleeping pills for a high. He's an addict who needs help. Would be great if you did more on that side of things as you've done an amazing quality video but blaming Mourinho doesn't make sense bud

@@leemachen4182 zopiclone is used with drink. Unsure if daizepam but if he could pass drug tests with that and a Dr note it would explain a lot! Painkillers will be morphine based codiene, oramorph, zomorph etc

Sadly, Just been sacked for the rest of the season by Besiktas. "Dele Alli is BANISHED from Besiktas squad and told to watch the remainder of the season from the stands by manager Senol Gunes as the Turkish club turn down the chance to sign him permanently for £8million after disastrous loan spell"

It’s a tragic story. He obviously has problems but some people just want to hammer the hell out of him because he’s a footballer. You would think if he ends up back at Everton, they must have some level of support to can help him. It maybe best he quits football and get on with the rest of his life.

This was a guy i used to fear when spurs play my team Chelsea. Then his fall was tragic. I don't think Jose is to blame for his downfall. His carefree attitude after his breakout was imo the cause of it and has not recovered and doesn't seem like recovering in any form

agree, cant blame jose for this. it was his job to manage and observe the developmental of the team. and delle came up short with it so jose give the opportunity to the other guy who is more deserving. those hype and fame is ruin him, he had everything to further up his career but instead the guy choose to chasing the clout.

A tragic case indeed. Not unusual in English football however. Over the years we see many young players make a brilliant start to their careers but over the years their game rarely progresses beyond that early start. Is it the easy money? Is the company they mix with? In Dele's case he seems to have a problem in not getting his head down in training. In all sports training is the component that ensures success or not in competition. Sadly, I don't see any future in football for Dele. But he is rich, unless he has thrown his money away on gambling or drink, and could go on a full life doing other things. He has opportunities that most people of his age lack.

In terms of skill, he was slightly better than Mason Mount now. But Mason is a hardworker. Some trait that Lampard and Mourinho like in a player. Imagine prime Delle right now with Bellingham and Rice in England NT. That's a WC serious contender midfield.

Love Dele. Fergerson once suggested he was the only player to sign once upon a time. Let that sink in. I'm unsure what he may be addicted to (heard he's amazing at Fortnite) but I really hope he's working with a endocrinologist. Hormones start to decline in our twenties (some severely) and when they do you can lose that fire in your belly, focus and concentration, motivation, passion, positivity etc and belief in yourself. Really hope he can get it back.

Honestly you could argue that’s true in a sense. He had all the natural ability in the world, just needed to develop an understanding of the game and the right mentality….instead he played week in week out, lost his head and eventually his body faltered too, he was saying that there were things he physically couldn’t do anymore game-wise in his early 20’s. There was no longevity in mind in anything he did or was made to do in his early Tottenham days, and that’s where he’s suffering now, he’s trying to do what he did in his teens and he can’t, but also wasn’t taught how to adapt his game.

Conversely, this very day,I am off soon to West Sussex to visit my best m8 of 35 years who has become a millionaire by sheer hard work, discipline in what he specializes in and talent yet you would never guess he has this wealth in a million years as he is the opposite of ostentatious.

He thought too highly of himself after just 1-2 good seasons. It probably doesn't help that he has countrymen who deify any promising young athlete that can hit a ball even before those athletes have achieved anything of note. Emma Raducanu is another such example.

Dele is having such rotten luck because of Sade Sati. Saturn is currently transiting over his natal moon in Capricorn since Jan 2020. He will have better luck after 18 Jan 2023 when Saturn transits into Aquarius aspected by his natal Jupiter which protects him provided Saturn is not in retrograde.

Dele never really rose to the heights that the British media potrayed him after all they have a record of over-hyping players even their own 3 lions. I remember before Pogba was signed there was this hype that Utd were going to win the league. Never happened. For me, Dele is a decent player, just like many others in the Pre but he never was this amazing star they made him out to be. He did not fall cz he never really rose.

Mental opinion. In 16/17 he scored more goals than any other player aged 21 or under in Europe (that includes the likes of Mbappe). He scored more goals in his first 100 league games than Eden Hazard or Mesut Ozil who were more established players. One season he scored 18 premier league goals, more than Ibrahimovic, Hazard, or Benteke as 6th best scorer. You have to be far far more than "decent" to achieve those kind of stats, and he'd only just turned 20. That year he was on top of the world - the hottest young prospect in Europe, objectively by what he was doing.
