Before the Dendro Archon began her rule over Sumeru, many city-states rose and fell in the desert sands like waves on the ocean. In this video, I go over the lore presented in the Desert Pavilion Chronicle artifact set, which talks about one of these fallen cities, Gurabad.

I’m surprised by how much lore artifacts have. Like, I just look at them and think “oooo cool hat” and not “this hat belonged to a soldier from an ancient civilization that was destroyed in a siege”

The desert lore is one of the best and most intriguing ones imo, which is why i think we will revisit it someday in the future

The lore of the makhaira aquamarine and tulaytullas rememberance is connected if I'm not wrong but goddamn that silly looking EM sword has some good lore behind it. I'd love you to cover it😊

the lore of the various city states that existed after like for tullaytulllah isnt really worth covering, since its not too big nor does it go anywhere, it ends with farmarez (i think his name was) dying alone in the rainforest at the hands of the virdicent huntress

3:45 OH. now that we have Perinheri and some info on Khaenri'ah... this thing is parallel with Khaenri'ah, isn't it, not? and that might explain the Deshret - Irmin likeliness.

Liloupar might just be the single morally worst identified character(with spoken lines) in the entire game. Even with all the genocide, kinslaying, secret incest etc etc. she's also just mad racist for no reason lmao

I really love desert's lore^^,and for other thing that could be discussed.It could be about what stuff could lie in the dark sea/possible other continents beyond teyvat. i also had this weird dream that beyond the hypostyle's desert canyon (where the ruin golem is),there's yet another pyramid structure and a mostly intact abandonded harbour city. and if you see in the distance,there's a seelie's palace/city located on an island (similar to Rhodes's old city but grey and overgrown)

TulayTullah is the second city of the desert that we know the most about after Gurabad, if you do one of those video again you should do this city

surprisingly we know little about the city deshret himself ruled over/ i dont even remeber if he even had a city he presided over

@@Indian_gae_boii He didn't, he just ruled all the 7 cities, I think there is a temple near his Mausoleum that he probably ruled but that's all, what is actually surprising is that we don't know the names of atleast two cities as if they never existed

@@Wolf-vy7et i rember something about each city resembling each of the seven elements, i thinkn tullaytullah was the anemo one, there was an elctro one too, which makes me wonder if gurabad or ay-khanoum was one of these seven cities or just a regular city

Depends on the set, sometimes it's in order, other times it's jumbled up.

Spoiler! I love how the fall of Gurabad is similliar to the fall of Tanit tribe, the cause of both is because of betrayal. Jeht truly has followed footsteps of Liloupar. Well, but considering the Tanit Tribe lives on the ruin of Gurabad, It shouldn't be surprised the same fate fall upon them.
