As one-third of the Killer B’s in Pittsburgh, we witnessed him become a superstar, but when he left the steel city things went south quickly. Here is the Rise and Fall of Le’Veon Bell.

It’s crazy just to think how good the Killer Bees were. The best RB in the NFL, the best WR, and a prime Ben who was a Top 5 QB.

what no one else talks about is that Bell almost single-handedly killed the runningback market in one fell swoop. the standoff between Bell and the Steelers looking back was really more representative of the running back market in general by basically saying "you're only as good as we make you" and unfortunately for other runningbacks, the Steelers were proven right. even if his holdout wasnt the exact moment that runningbacks started being devalued, it was certainly an integral part of it.

Steelers should've won a super bowl with this team of bell, brown, ben. They were chiefs like

the killer Bees had the potential to go to multiple super bowls together. if they didn’t have such a horrific defense they coulda gone down as one of the best teams ever

I'm sorry... But he's a prime example of what happens when greed and money get to your head

As a Steelers fan, I’ve got no problem with Bell valuing himself at the time. But he had already been suspend twice for substance abuse and a third would have been a full season (see: Gordon). So I understand why the Steelers may not have wanted to go higher on their offer. It’s just a shame it went the way it did. Loved watching him play in Pittsburgh.

Steelers woulda won a Super Bowl with that team but they were all divas. Steeler culture is gone because of Tomlin

LB didn’t realize that the O line he had was structured for his running style, you could see James Connor play the same as hell did when he got touches. His downfall was the lack of an O line that was molded for his style. The o line and running back coach must’ve had great chemistry with each other . What they did for those 5-6 years was unbelievable, LB had a hell of a style but I think the position coaches had a great impact on the running style.

A mutual tragedy. Bell went to a coach that didn't know how to use any type of skill player and the Steelers got too comfy with their history and haven't found quality offensive playmakers in the past couple seasons.

As a Steelers fan, the fact that they couldn’t reach a deal is frustrating to this day. The Steelers had somethin special with the killer Bs man

As a ravens fan, I hated playing bell and brown during those years. I am still shocked they never won a super bowl either.

The Steelers are really good at finding diamonds in the rough

Bell and Brown were possibly on the best run for a few years any RB and WR ever had on the same team. They were both not prototypical for their positions yet produced absolutely off the chart statistics at the same time.

Mike Tomlin rehabbed big ben's image while dealing with the double divas of Brown and Bell. This mans patience and tolerance must be godlike.

I watched this whole thing happen one game at a time. The tragedy... 😢 I've followed him on and off since he left the steelers, I always wanted him to get back to his prime, but at this point I think its safe to say its over. He blew his career for money.

Shout to him valuing himself and trying to get the money he thinks he deserves but man…. He got too eager and it all crashed and burned

He should have never left Pittsburgh. That system at the time was a RBs dream. Still is to a lesser degree.

I dont know why people who are in the NFL complain about stupid things. I would just be blessed to be in the NFL.
