As someone who loves white. gray and blacks, and a huge fan of Rainbow High. When Shadow High came out of my chest and i squealed. I was in doll heaven! But listening to your video makes me love Shadow High even more! Thank you so much for sharing the story with us!

Poor Shadow High. My heart mourns their loss XD Seriously, though, when SH first came out and the social media was acting like you had to choose a side, I was definitely team SH. They were so cool and different from everything else on the market. But cool idea, doing a video essay! I like the format :]

Wow I can't believe the total line lasted so briefly!

I was honestly devastated when Shadow High got canceled, and watching the line become less goth and alternative over time was very sad for me to see. This doll line really inspired me ever since I first saw the Storm Twins in the RH show and knew that I needed them ASAP. Despite not normally being a completionist, I do own 5 sets of Storm Twins and a complete SH collection with 41 dolls in it. I even made a custom doll car of the Storm Twins' Jeep after the original Shadow High Jeep Playset got canceled. I have always loved Shadow High more than Rainbow High, and that doll line has intensely inspired me and my art more than any other doll line. There was just something special about it that really reasonated with me and emotionally connected with me somehow. I really hope that Shadow High returns someday, but I want MGA to treat it with the respect and dignity that it deserves if they ever were to bring it back!🖤💜

I just came back from Walmart where I got costume ball dolls for $11. These will be my final RH/SH purchase for the foreseeable future. But anyway SH is my fav, I have all of them. Series 1 rocked my world because I couldn’t believe their monochrome look. Like I remember the excitement over seeing the leaks of just the series 1 bodies without heads. I really wanted to see a JR SH series but MGA really abandoned SH like it was nothing.

I thought Shadow High was great, I got into Rainbow High because of Shadow High. I’m scared that Rainbow High is also going to be abandoned, I feel like not a lot is happening with them and it’s more and more budget dolls. With Shadow High, I loved the grayscale but also didn’t mind the monochrome colored looks as long as they stayed edgier.
