Would love a vid on the rise and fall of modern football boots. TB to when you’d fully be rocking T90s or Mercurials with jeans in public, back when boots where associated with specific players - CTR360 with iniesta and fabrgas, CR7 with mercurials and t90s for Rooney. The World Cup/euro boot collections were always big too. Every design now seems so generic, there’s no longer any gimmicks and absolutely no hype for boots these days.2016 was probably the end of the goat era of boots

I think it's important to note the wembley cup and everything that went into it because the budget slowed down on the videos and I think they placed a large emphasis on that cup promoting the Channel. But then with everything from how the cup failed with them not really featuring in the match and the Jeremy lynch stuff they didn't get the big boost maybe they expected and the brand image really suffered

ball street network has an interesting history - after this a few of the people from there started the ‘umm’ channel which is like them trying to produce sort of ‘cool’ football content with chunkz and harry pinero being on it a lot. same with xo they started big and slowly faded away. i think ball street goes to show that you can’t just buy your way into youtube history thanks to financial backing and their personal links, you need the desire of the people making the channel most importantly, they’re trying to buy into something that you can’t really buy into

Ball Street Social Club was great back in the day. It has a great split between North and South members and it was a shame because after it died all the fan channels became very London centric.

Yeah; starting a group/business from the ground up is hard if you get big names Those big names would be very demanding and ask for big salaries; not wanting to do certain type of work because they’re already rich and don’t need the business to survive

I think Lawrence McKenna is going to become a Louis Theroux type in the next few years now that he’s started making sports documentaries now and has seemingly left the True Geordie now and he’s ridiculously talented in directing as we’ve seen through the years

@@Gabrielm624 I don’t think he actually is egotistical, he tried very sarcastically acting like an arsehole to be funny at times and people just got annoyed at him like when he was taking the piss out of the charity football match but all the stuff he gets called an arsehole for now are things he was still doing when he wasn’t as well known but you’d say it’s funnier then because he was punching up with his jokes instead of down like in that instance. That’s what I think his problem is, I still like him though tbh and the True Geordie channel hasn’t been as good without him on lately

Laurence made a tit of himself, Geordie made a racist tit of himself, and Stephen's comedy never progressed beyond basic jokes you'd hear on open mic nights. Even if XO succeeded back then it would be dead in the water by now.

Some KZfaqrs were a lot more likeable, funny and humble when they were still doing FIFA videos like KSI. Now everyone thinks they're a boxer or MMA fighter and people just eat it up. It's pathetic.
