Believe it or not the moment I open twitch and I start our playlist which always organized by army I'm waiting for this particular part, the rise of bangtan. I always have so much fun watching it and learning throw this episode. Gosh you have no idea how much I adore the ones who made this episode, fantastic choices and awesome edit. It's a masterpiece

yes this documentary deserves to be bought not viewed for free. and the Army who made it don´t get paid from youtube, she just made it for other fans so they could experience how BTS came to be who they they are today from the beginning and it´s such an amazing story

To be honest while Rise of Bangtan is a well made series Cyrus... it’s lacking in many ways too. I sincerely hope new and existing ARMY do not use it and compilations as their only source on getting to know the members for many many many reasons. It is made by a fan. A fan cannot be objective. Especially if they have a bias (which is normal) While it uses existing footage from their ‘Burn the stage’ ‘Bring the soul: Documentary’ and movie...and their vlives and comeback shows... it condenses months and months worth of footage to mere minutes by necessity (due to the nature of the product) the problem then becomes that the choice on what to include is made with the lens of their personal view of each member and what they deem important. I have watched almost majority of all BTS content and all the ones included here and can deduct with their choices what narratives they wish to portray. I often question which clips they use and why they leave important parts of the story out. It doesn’t give a complete story for each member. While Aneesa is very talented she seems to have little in depth knowledge on certain members but better knowledge on others. In particular she has little insight on Tae, Hobi and Jin. An example of manipulation of direction of information is that all OG ARMY know that the person who brought JK out of his shell and had a major impact on him when he joined BTS as trainee when he was super super shy was Tae. This was addressed by JK in ‘Burn the stage’ (clips that she cut from) and many many different interviews on radio and in print and other programmes over the years. I cannot for the life of me fathom why she would choose to not include that clip from burn the stage esp as we are talking about Begin and when JK moved to Seoul. Also Namjoon’s vlive where he talks about the tree analogy is very moving in full. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Yes and it’s good for an audience to know that obviously you won’t get the full story with these 30 min segments, and we should be watching it with that in mind. 💜

I'm a little confused on why you're making it seem like the whole series is lacking just bc of a small detail? You saying "an example of manipulation" is her not mentioning Tae helping Jungkook is very weird. The video was his love and the influence his brothers had for him as a WHOLE. Not each member. It didn't mention how when Jungkook wanted to leave the group predebut Jin was the one who convinced him to stay, which is an important detail as well. But again this isn't Jks lifestory so its obv she's leaving some things out. You calling the series lacking and saying she doesn't know the members just bc you want your favorites to stand out is not okay. She knows the members more than probably most armys since she has been a fan for YEARS and watched every single clip from predebut until now to even make this series. It's very disrespectful to the creator.

@@naiyosayo6103 so true and after i have watched every bts content after watching this serie i can tell she is very objective and she tell the truth no matter if it is bad or not. but yes of curse she can´t have all the clips on this. she might not have watched that or maybe she wanted to focus on the team as a whole not a specific member. and Anisa says in the beginning of every video. we try and tell the story of BTS to the best of our ability. so she is not deeming this as 100 true.

@@lealarsen2017 I’m sorry to say you’ve clearly not watched all the content you say you have as otherwise you would know that the clip I’m referring to was partially used in this chapter of the Rise of Bangtan already... meaning that the Editor 100% would have watched it and been aware of it. The fact that you don’t recognise the importance of it further speaks to you not having watched the majority of content because it is referred to numerous times over the years in various medium. Which goes to prove my whole point that Rise of Bangtan should be one of many sources not the sole.
