The Rise Of Hurrem #67 - Hurrem Gave Another Child To Suleiman "I WILL ALWAYS GIVE BIRTH"
Click here to watch The Rise Of Hurrem 👉 • The Rise Of Hurrem - M...
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Still feels a little weird, in retrospect, that Abdullah (Hürrem and Suleiman's fifth son) got written out of the show completely since I think the unknown circumstances of his young death could've made for a solid plot point, but, given how they rush through Cihangir's birth, it might've been a timing issue.

@@tanjaceren984 Ah, I see the confusion-I meant as in the sheer number of sons Hürrem had, not the birth order. There's a certain degree of dispute over when Abdullah was actually born, but I tend to trust the sources that place him instead around 1525 or early 1526, so between Selim and Bayezid. It explains why, unlike all of the other children, Bayezid and Cihangir have such a notable age gap (all others are born within years of one another, unlike those two).

She was very possessive about suleman and there is a greed of power in her love. Her love for suleman was not self less. Other wise she could not made him punished mustafa. This incident broke him entirely.

Oh yes! I agree! The sparring between him and Sumbul is hilarious and his loyalty to Hurrem is sweet. I love his greetings to her, especially "The most married of Sultanas." 😁

Why mustafa didnt look like a real, brave prince whose physique gets strong& well- built due to all the sword practices n all?? Mehmet, selim, bayazid had tha kind of a physique of a warrior.

In these episodes they tried to make him look younger , which didn't do his looks justice . Later in season 3 and 4 he looks much more fierce , but a little gentle still

Your right, Cihangir was the only Sehzade to be born when Hurrem was legally married to Suleyman. Abdullah's birth and death for the most part passed on with time, and very little is known about what happened to him, and it probably will always remain a mystery, Also, remember that Suleyman had 10 children all together during his lifetime and 6 of those children were from Hurrem. Actually, Hurrem was the only woman who gave Suleyman the most children!

@@tanjaceren984 Ah, nope, that's a popularized misconception born from the fandom for the show, but there's no actual evidence for it. There's no references to Mihrimah having a twin at birth and that's not the kind of detail that'd escape notice. “If Mehmed and Mihrumah were conceived in the interstices between campaigns, Selim and Abdullah, their next children, were honeymoon babies. Selim was born in May 1524 and Abdullah probably sometime in 1525 or early 1526 (his precise birth date is not known).”-Leslie Peirce, _Empress of the East_

Mustafa would have made a terrible leader. He was a defiant, jealous person who did what he wanted instead of what was right for the country. The Sultan saw this and did the right thing for the country by executing him. The only son that would have been as magnificent as he was, Mehmed, was killed by Mahidevran. Cihanger was brilliant but disabled. Selim was a drunken coward, and Beyazid was to hot tempered.
