His youth showed in the game vs Ohio st. In the future he will trust himself more and let the team reflect his personality. That the 1st thing young coaches must learn. Distance yourself from the Brian Kelly methodology. Create your own brand.

Difficult to do when your OC is directly from that "Brian Kelly methodology" As an ND fan (and a son of ND Alumni) I wish nothing but the best for Freeman though I found it extremely unusual that Tommy Rees (the OC) was hired before Freeman, the HC. I mean how often does that happen in college or the NFL? Usually the HC is hired, then he is allowed to choose his staff.

He was 0-3, should've been 0-4 if not for the ref's stepping in and throwing a flag which has never (even to this day) been explained, and at the time I'm writing this he still has a losing record as Notre Dame's head coach. But yes, he does seem very professional. Good on him.

The fact that you would judge him for a team that lost a close game on the road against the #2 team when none of the players are his recruits and it was his and his staffs first game shows you are ignorant when it comes to college football and how to properly analyze the sport. What's most important is that a Black man has reached this level of success. Forget that he's totally taken Notre Dame out of contention, ruined their recruitment, and at this moment doesn't even have a winning record. You're not seeing the bigger picture if you're just looking at Notre Dame's football team. This is about the Black kid, from God knows where, looking on seeing that he can be celebrated for mediocrity, too.
