From that Grab have risen to becoming the world's largest SPAC deal ever in history after reaching a market valuation of over $40 billion US dollars.

I wonder why Indonesians support Grab, a foreign company instead of local companies like Gojek?. Their market that is the biggest in South East Asia

Good question! In my point of view, I can see that local customers tend to prefer companies who can provide better, cheaper and even safer services or products.

I am Indonesian. I once asked my friend. why choose Grab not Gojek? He reasoned because the offer from GRAB was more tempting (like Vouchers & Promos). Yah, i think because of that... But, after Gojek & Tokopedia merged (more money to burn), today Gojek promo's more tempting too. For me, i will choose local product in first place. (ahahha liltle bit nationalist)

Grab's UI is better than Gojek.

I think Gojek is similar to Angkas of the Philippines. It's both two-wheeled ride hailing app. People here also prefer Grab over Angkas but the latter is preferable during rush hours or heavy traffic.

@ade rahmat There is a service that Gojek has yet to offer and that is delivery using cars. Gojek offers GoSend using motorcycles and GoBox using box truck but no delivery using cars. Thus, many people use GrabExpress since it has a car option for delivery.

There is no Grab Pay in Indonesia and instead uses OVO instead.
