The Stuart look very good for being underwater so long. For sure many collectors would be eager to get hold of everything recovered for spare parts or to copy to fix others .

It's funny to see the EOD squad in full gear handling old tank shells in one video, while in others people just straight up grab land mines and explosive charges with their bare hands and just pull them out of the ground without any gear

In our country, to pull a tank with wheels and chains that have jammed due to rust, the tank is raised on a steel plate. Then the plate is pulled by machine. That's a little easier. Thank you 👍

I wonder if they will take the turret out as well. It should be somewhere near. In that case they will have a complete M3 Stuart. The tractor is an artillery prime-mover.

they didn't give them the M3 Lee and M3 Stuart because they were good, but because they didn't have anything else

@@mmdirtyworkzThe M3 was capable of handling most of the early-war German tanks like the Panzer II, III and early versions of the IV with thinner armor. The Russians rated its' 37mm gun to be superior to their own 45mm. However they felt it was too tall, and the rubber-soled tracks didn't have sufficient grip for snow and ice.

Yeah they take it alot more serious recovering there patriotic war vehicles I think they think they were fighting there own war single handed sometimes! It's good how many spectators are wearing German ambush camo in this video though haha!

Река Дон богата такими раритетами,очень кровопролитные бои в излучине Дона были. Вечная память погибшим на той войне солдатам.А как гордо трактор донес свое имя ,держал 70 лет в темноте не опускал,от удара или от старости погнулись трубки радиатора, но не уронил,потому что знал мы победили,и имя оплеванное ,смешанное с грязью и ложью,будет очищено и каждый увидит его! и будет гордиться этим именем! Да будет так!

Its an American M5. It was supplied to British and other Commonwealth forces and Russia under lend-lease prior to the entry of the U.S. into the war. Light tank intended only for security and infantry support.

It appears to be 2 different things! One is obviously just an old bulldozer, the other is a tank.

Three different things -- the Stewart chassis, the tractor, and the last few minutes was the top of a German Stug III, either an F or G model I think.

@@Morfologus2222 Sweet! I knew someone would know for sure, thanks brother! So they got the chassis too then. It looked like the top hadn't been shot, but had been sheared off the tank, so I pictured a mangled mess for a bottom half. Some of these "pulling crap out of rivers" videos are a little helter skelter on what they edit together, LOL.

That second vehicle pulled out was a bulldozer or farm tractor the body and track style don't match any tank i know also greetings from Wisconsin USA

I observe the steel quality of those Soviet T34 tanks retrieved from rivers or muddy swamps are still better than this american tank.

In my opinion this so called tank was rather an armoured tractor. It thus confirms a very low tank manufacturing experience for that time.

Yes, one looks to be a Stug, but the first one appears to be an M-5 as it has 2 outboard machine guns facing forward on the upper hull. I could be wrong...I think I'll have another beer.

@@jameskirkland503 M3 Stuart, look at the location of the turret ring at 20:08, it is at the very front of the upper hull. The turret ring on the M5 Stuart is noticeably further back. In addition, the upper hull of the M3 is more squared off as the one in the video, while the front upper hull of the M5 is sloped.
