I don’t think they did I read some place that odds are the sword, spear, and bow hero’s classes was most likely the classes they played as in the games they was talking about in the first episode and from the sound of how they was talking about them they was not mmorpgs just solo player games so would not be hard to believe they did not know what a tank was

The other thing is shields were freaking useful in real life. You could very easily beat some literally to death with one, especially those that had a metal face or trim. Combine that with the immense defensive value of a shield and it become literally the most important single piece of equipment you can have. An example of this can be found in ancient Greece where if a hoplite lost their spear it wasn't that big of a deal while losing a shield resulted in major punishment because you did not only screw yourself but the whole phalanx.

The fact that the shield hero could tank so many attack from the spear hero when he was at half of his lvl shows how op the shield hero is if they were the same lvl he would have no chance

Shield hero. A character that shares a lot with men of this world. Had unconditional kindness, but the world he lives in actively tries to put him down. So much so that his anger becomes a corruption, waiting to consume him. But there are people that are willing to help him to temper his anger. Sad thing is that many men don't often get the help they need. So their anger consumes them and burns them out.

@ And how did he get that in the first place? By the harsh treatment of the people around him and the betrayal of the bitch. And I am indeed a man, and men in this world are indeed poorly treated. One example are the fathers who are banned from seeing their children because the mother hated him in some way. Another are men who want to be with others, yet are denied that because of traits he couldn't control. I still remember the awkward guy who tried to be a simple friend to a girl and she then accused him of rape, even though nothing about him would ever indicate that. And when we have propaganda terms like "incel" running about, it will not help matters at all. As it gives reasons for more men to become isolated.

@ False. He got the Rage Shield due to all the betrayal, false accusations, and belittlement from his peers perpetrated by King Trash, First Princess Bitch, and The Three Heros Church. Only after accumulating enough Rage did his Curse Phase unlock.

The greatest injustice a person can do in this world is nothing, even though you must direct your anger at the people responsible and no one else... But not many people have that option.

The rage shield can only be used successfully if the weilder has an anchor to their humanity. This is true in real life as well - without an anchor that focuses it, rage will unconditionally destroy all that is around it. Rage (as portrayed in most animes) is only good when it has this anchor that focuses it into a force to defeat the true enemy in front of them.

Honestly, I don't get why Slut was allowed to continue travelling with him. She was punished for making false rape accusations, theft, a shit ton of other stuff, and the attempted murder of the heir to the throne, and one of only 4 world saving heros on the entire planet. Yet you know stick boy is gonna punish anyone that calls her slut, and treat her just as well as he used to. They should of given her slave contract to Naofumi.

Best part of that first Shield V Spear fight was the fact that even seriously out-leveled the MC was still winning and would have won without the interference.

Naofumi got the ability to save and protect others. Because he is a real hero, he is ready to give up his life to save the others. But people did not see that aspect in him, they abandoned him. But despite that fact, he never stopped doing what's right, and did not let his anger consume him. While the other "heroes" got weapons that mostly help only themselves. Because they are all selfish, and think that it is all only a game.

Yeah Swort art Online didnt had the one guy that got cold harded because the entire world seemed to hate him. Though yeah to be fair, there was no real content about these thematics outside of few parts in fewer episodes. I really really like swort art online for those few indication of what could be happening in the world so you have to keep watching and keep reading between the lines.

Though I like the comparison with Captain America with Naofumi, I think he has more in common with Netflix’s Daredevil then any other Marvel character to an anime character. Considering like Daredevil to Naofumi..... or vice versa. He too is labeled a dangerous devil like vigilante figure by the echelon of society, they’re both underdog hero protagonist, they both keep people who are even close to them a distance due to a harsh and tragic hand of fate, both are brooding, angsty, and temperamental vicious. And not to mention I was introduced to the male lead singing version of this song to a Netflix Daredevil AMV which awesomely goes with this song as well as this AMV as well too. As you watch Daredevil kick-ass while hearing this really gets you AMPED!!

2:20 i seen a lot of reacters miss the fact that the Spear Hero is 22 levels higher then Naofumi in their duel and Naofumi was still was smacking him around.
