Raphtalia (girl with the chains) is a very, very likeable character. It is hard to say anything without spoiling anything but she easily becomes a favourite of the show. Music wise espacially love the endings which are sung by the same person. The second ending is my favourite song, you feel the love there.

One of the only anime to get me to read ahead in the manga just cause i couldn’t wait for the weekly release.

The story in season 1 is largely considered much better than season 2. But as an anime only, I was fine with season 2. The music in these openings and endings is so good.

Yess! Love this anime and the music! This is a must watch and the 3rd season is COMING! 1 of my fave animes of all time! Character development is such a joy to watch in this. Raphtalia is absolutely a beautiful character and her story is a wonderful one you need to enjoy Gaz.

This anime is so good, what i liked on the first season was the story and the evolution of the main character and his team( i cant tell more because it will be spoilers)and i even watched it more thant 2 times, i am watching the second season right now so i cant tell. But i recommend it.

Excellent reaction! 🛡🦝 I'm a big Shield Hero fan, I like both seasons, even if some people don't relate to the last season. Not everything should be action scenes or intrigue, but character development is always necessary.

The show is super good. At least the first season. The first season is so good right from the beginning, sadly same can't be said about the second season. They animated the second season with what seems to be a pretty small budget. It's nowhere near as good as the first season is. In both the animation and the story. The story of the second season (without spoilers) seems to be one of the weaker arcs in the manga from what I've heard, so if they do make a season 3, it would probably be better than season 2 and more on par with season 1. Season 2 sadly can't be left out since important story things happen in it, but it seems to be a throwaway season for the studio. Openings and endings all slap though. Edit: My favorite of all the songs is the 2nd ending. The feeling and meaning of the song is just so good and emotional it manages to make me cry all the time. Edit 2: Actually, hearing the song again here, it's one of my favorite anime songs of all time. Edit 3: You also missed the season 1 ending 1 song

They have an official english version of all 3 openings done by the same band that you should definitely checkout! You can find all the songs including the one that had sound cutout on their Official channel Madkid. I absolutely love this anime and it's soundtrack!

Second season unfortunately just wasn´t it, cg was bad and they kinda lost focus on the character developement. The first Season is the best one right now but I am looking forward to the 3rd season, maybe it gets even better. Yeah the first season is just straight S Tier for me...

The second opening it actually has audio in Crunchyroll FR. As for those 2 characters, they're the most broken, emotionally traumatized characters in the show.

Havent watched season 2 but i was reading it and dropped the series 3/4ths of that way through the arc. Season 1 is great though.

When in doubt just go to a streaming service start ep. 2 and maybe skip forward a min. Or so. They'll definitely have the music. That way you can at least share your opinion on the song.

I would recommend S1 of the anime as a great watc ... through be warn there is some controversy surrounding the anime because of certain elements ... (not helped by the fact that some omissions and changes in the anime distort the perspective on these things) The things that makes Shield Hero interesting is that the story starts with quit o focus on the Psychological ... with lot of elements emphasizing or being grounded in this ... The music is awesome the sound design is solid the story as well and great animation S2 the first half is a bit of a mess ... the music is still great the sound design solid but the animation for me and a lot of people drops in quality and since this is a an anime based on a manga based on a novel there is an preexisting storyline ... and the anime as best when it follow that ... but some changes from S1 and other additional in S2 make the first part messy with some pacing issues ... the sub arc/arc in the latter "half" of the season gets better as they are able to get back to following the story ...

There is an english version to the op although just a cover and it's very good. Would love to see you react to it.

I don't want to spoil too much but to make a slight correction: Raphtalia and Filo are more like sisters than mother/daughter. Beyond that you have to watch it, which I highly recommend.

Season 1 was decent but season 2 was bad in my opinion, both storywise and in animation quality. All the openings are by Madkid (if I'm not mistaken) and they all are pretty good
