That’s a tough one. I am an American and was rooting for Taylor. But I thought Yazdani had the four point move. Not sure it would of mattered but it would have been more interesting. I love watching both of these young men wrestle. They are a blessing to the sport.

Wrestling (and arguably track/running) is the oldest sport in human existence. Olympics need to give it the respect it deserves and expand the number of weight classes for the Games.

Yazdani is such a warrior, too bad he has so much pressure to win for his country and not for himself, but Davis Taylor is SO DAMN GOOD! The ending may still end the same, but Yazdani should be able to walk away proud of his efforts and accomplishments. maybe he is?? Great rivalry for the sport of international wrestling!

@@farzana6676 It means if Yazdani loses or wins, the whole country knows about it. If DT loses, you probably won't even find a mention of it at the bottom of the last page of the sports section of any major news paper in the US, and certainly no TV coverage.

In combination Iran ranked higher than America in men wrestling last year despite American federation spending so much more money💰 and resources. i don't get these Guys point.. except trying to put some pressure on yazdani rather than the entire American greco and freestyle teams😄

By combination are you talking about Greco? America doesn't really do that. Iran isn't ranked above us in freestyle. The Iranian coach even admits it in this video.

As always Americans think too much of themselves. The head of US communications was too arrogant by saying Hassan everyday thinks about Taylor and is better because of Taylor. Hassan Yazdani was Olympic champion way before Taylor, has achieved more in Olympics and World Championships than Taylor while being younger than Taylor. If anything, Taylor has become better because of Yazdani. But of course, American sense of entitlement as always was pretty obvious. In the last match, many believe, including the referee, that Yazdani deserved the 4 point and the game was pretty rigged in favour of Taylor.

Both made each other better but I completely disagree that Taylor was pushed to better harder from yazdani. Yazdani hadn’t beat him down like Kyle Dake and Jordan Burroughs. From your comment you aren’t American so I don’t expect you to know this but dake and Burroughs beat Taylor in every match he had versus them until he finally moved up and carved out his own space. Those guys pushed him then and Yazdani pushes him now but Dake and Burroughs shaped him a lot earlier

Doesn't matter what country you are from - to be the best you have to beat the best. It's natural and important for the 2nd best wrestler to think about the best wrestler everyday for motivation and determination to take his/her spot

@@YakacrakamambA Taylor's status shifted notably after defeating Yazdani. Hassan was already an Olympic Champion, attended a tournament with a lot of physical challenges when Taylor defeated him for the first time. Before then, indeed Taylor carved his own way beating Burroughs, yet he consistently lost to Karimi, Goudarzi, and Amiri. His pivotal triumph over Hassan significantly boosted his confidence, making this rivalry as more of a mental battle for Hassan than a physical one.. Both are amazing wrestlers, but my point about the video was to underline the condescending tone often perceived in American media. Overall, Hassan is a much more humble and down to earth person while Taylor never stops engaging in banter. Hassan needs to get more aggressive mentally - he should know he made a name out of Taylor, he should dominate him this time in Paris.

In technical terms, Hasan is superior. In every face off between the two, clearly he is the one who initiates attack and domination. However David is much more conning and strategically smarter.

متاسفانه به نظر با پیشرفت علم و دارو ورزشی که به طبع آمریکا پیشتاز است، این مهمترین عامل پیروزی آنهاست ولی ایرانیها صرفا با قدرت طبیعی و به دور از دوپینگ کار میکنن. این رو در نوسان اغلب کشتی گیران آمریکایی میبینیم.
