It was amazing being on the river!! I thought it would be like the canal but if felt so different, the boat just seemed to handle so much better! And also the river was so clear you could see all the fish and bottom of the river bed 😊😊👍🏼

Yes turning left upstream is great, you can go further than I did but it warns that it’s shallow so didn’t want to risk going further 😊 can’t beat having a good horn 😂😂🤣

Glad you went left first, always wondered what was down there. Love the Avon, you will have to do the whole length at some point. We moored on the same pontoon at Bidford, except there was someone on it at the time so had to reverse onto the end roughly 90deg to the way you were, with half the boat stuck out into the river. After all the hard work I'm glad you are getting more than just a couple of weeks out.

Thanks Pete, I would of loved to go all the way down to Gloucester but I just didn’t have the time. Next year I’m taking 6 months off work and going to really enjoy it! When are you guys due back at the wharf??

@@NarrowboatPreciousJet I love listening to the banter, but unless both are wearing mics, o have found where the banter gets lost, especially if the camera is facing the bow and you are depending on the camera/phone mic. I like a good voiceover personally. Thanks Steve. 🙏😊🤗 Kathy
