I can't wait to receive my Roamer 1 next month I can't believe all the negative comments in here all by people who have never actually been inside one or know anything about the manufacturer. People are trying to compare this to a stick and tin trailer when this thing has over 3 inches of composite walls and fully ducted that is rated for temps as low as -30 or +120 not to mention that its an overland trailer with over 1200 watts of solar and 1080 amps of battery power. It's also built with very expensive light weight yet very strong real wood not particle board like the trailers you guys are comparing it to. If you want to compare to something it would be like an airstream and a jeep/hummer had a baby and thats what this trailer would be. I used to want an airstream then realized you get no solar no battery bank, it doesnt come with disc breaks and independent suspension where you can also raise and lower it. It also comes with the option that I got it with an incenratiating toilet so I do not have to worry about a black tank anymore. So I guess some people will always be haters but at least do research this will be my 3rd RV and I was deciding for a while and as soon as I saw this nothing really compared besides maybe the Pause but I didnt really like the layout at the time. And dealing with ROA has been 1 of the best experiences as well compared to most big name RV dealers.

People complaining about the price aren't the market for this. Its like complaining about the price of a new Porsche 911 GT3 when you can buy a Miata for 1/5 the price. The trailer is not cheap, but premium products rarely are. This thing is too rich for me, but if I had the money, and wanted the best offroad trailer, this would certainly be in the running.

Airstream quality is terrible. Just watch the dozens of videos on KZfaq highlighting that especially regarding their "off road" base camp variants. In addition they are not insulated like this nor even as close as capable. This is too expensive for myself and I would not purchase this myself, but I am also familiar with Imperial Outdoors and the RV space. Airstream is not even in the same league. This is for the folks that have a lot of money and want the best of the best. Similar to the Earthroamer crowd.

If you did a little research you would understand the price is in line with the value. There are motorhomes and airstreams that can range from $150k to 2,000,000. You can easily drop $150k on a high end boat. This is a premium product and not for everyone. The price is right where the value is.

A lot of people are complaining about the price and/or asking what does the competition cost. I think we can all agree, yes, it’s expensive. You can get the X195 for around $10k less if you don’t want all the Roamer 1 add ons. I have the predecessor to this, the X22, and I have thoroughly looked over the new models, they are a serious upgrade in construction and components used. I don’t know the actual cost to build one but you’re getting a solid 4 season off road camper that can truly be off grid for some time with the water capacity and solar. Who is the competition that’s available in the U.S.? That’s a good question. I’m not aware of any true 4 season off road campers in this category, not saying they’re not out there, I’ve just not come across them. I have camped comfortably in mine at -20 and was able to use water. You can camp in any season in any camper I suppose, but it’ll have to be dry and the heat may run non stop. The walls in mine are made different but are 3” thick and have an aluminum skeleton, the ceiling is even thicker. The walls on the new ones are one piece composite and 2 5/8” thick, no aluminum skeleton. You get what you pay for and quality costs money.

When you look at a full size truck lightly up fitted to tow and enjoy Overlanding with, you're looking at $100k - $200k now add in $150k+ for this beast. Perfect weekend set up for Doctors and successful business owners. Or larger content creators. I can see this as our surfing setup. Cruising around the coastline. Creating content and taking the right tax deductions, this can drop considerably in out of pocket costs. Think outside the box!

@@Tb0n3 Missing the point. I understand the high quality of materials used. No arguments from what I seen here that it will withstand the beating of off grid travel. But at that price point, the amenity of the bathroom should have been considered. BIG bed, reasonable sized kitchen, and lots of storage compartments. But piss poor consideration for indoor facility. Only 1 example shown here I know, but it is a bad example. I would gladly give up some of that bed and kitchen space for a balanced consideration to the bathroom. They emphasized how it can survive in extreme weather conditions, but who would want to spend time outside in extreme weather conditions trying to take care of business and cleaning themselves because their bathroom space was incapable of accommodating them? 1 SMALL size does NOT fit everyone. 😉

When I saw the fitting of the windows, I was not impressed. The German, Swiss and Austrian Off-road exp. vehicle on Unimog, Mercedes 6x6 or Man 6x6 etc. use 'unbreakable' completely flat glass windows from KTC. In general, in vehicles, built quality does not match German/Swiss levels in the USA. If I wanted to spend 150 USD, I would add the price of the vehicle for another 100 k and thus get a 6x6 used truck (Unicat, Actionmobile, etc) with unter 100,000 km and go with this. What we actually did in 2022. But, there will be customers for this buiilt, and I guess, they will be satisfied. But, 6x6 vs. pickup truck + caravan....., our choice is clear. We drove through RU and Central Asia, right down to India......and then, on any moutain pass on 3000 m or more, would you like to have to reverse, when other lorries and heavy trucks make you reverse to a place, opposing vehicles can pass ??

Very cool showcase, but it’d choose an Airstream Basecamp 20X for half the price of this with similar quality and size. Maybe I’m wrong, but I just don’t see people that can actually afford something like this going overlanding in the middle of nowhere for weeks at time. People like that would probably rather spend the money on an international tour with a 5 star resort haha.

155k is "reasonably priced" these days. All you need is a "reasonably priced" 4wd pickup for 120k to tow the camper, and for the very reasonable sum of 275k you can now go camping. I guess I am the crazy one?

Bruder EXP-7 comes stock with 1245w of roof mounted solar so no this is not the most solar of any trailer in the world. 2000w inverter is tiny for that much solar and battery. The air conditioner is too small for that large of a space. It may work to cool eventually but should be bigger. The truma ac is better built, has more BTUs and while not 12v is still just as efficient even considering the inverter requirement. The Go Power electronics is standard at best and certainly substandard for something this expensive. The roof seams all need to be inspected/maintenanced twice yearly. Wood on the interior is less than ideal regardless of the type when so much innovation with composites and aluminum exist. Nice layout, nice bed, great storage and options with above average suspension and hitch. Overall nice BIG off road trailer that is overpriced given the lack of quality of some of the components. A hybrid model that tows smaller would be nice.

I wonder what percent of TFL flans can afford a trailer 1/2 this much let alone this much. Maybe people like seeing the unattainable. Thing is,,, TFL could be about as out of touch as the rich that truly can afford & use these off-road trailers. Capitalism, I get it, but this is getting ridiculous. I have already unsubscribed to all TFL except for off-road & truck. Videos like this make it hard to remain loyal to TFL. I understand that if I don’t like it, don’t watch. I also feel if I don’t watch it, I have no right to comment negatively. I have watched most of this, but I can’t watch all of it. The owner is a idiot sanctioning speeding with a trailer in tow, forgetting they don’t handle safely in emergency situations. Roman agrees, then retracts his comment. Never ever should a pickup towing a trailer be travelling at 80 miles per hour. It’s criminally irresponsible/negligent, in my opinion, regardless, it is extremely dangerous.
