I have this robot. There is no multi floor map, just one floor. It's a nice robot, but if I was to buy again then I would have bought the s5 max. The suction power isn't everything I realise now. The s5 max has rubber brush and the side brush runs slower than of the D9 which prevents throwing debris to far. Also the Mop feature only works with max water level. Otherwise it cleans almost dry. The s5 max let's you save multiple clean modes to prevent carpet areas when mopping.
@TechMishka3 жыл бұрын
I like your comment! It clearly underlines the only drawback that is present with the D9 right now - which is the Software. The maps will arrive soon, and the mopping can be fine-tuned as well. You have made an excellent choice - just give it a little more time.

Can do multi floor by managing maps in the app, but have to move the dock upstairs too

Thank you for the great review! I really like the battery life, mapping, line cleaning, and suction strength. The sensor makes a difference as hearing the vacuum bump into things may become a nuisance. I'm trying to choose between this model, the Eufy G30, and the Roomba 694. While they do not have the mop feature, my greatest concern is using the unit on hard floors, the carpet cleaning comes in second. There are good sales going on for the holidays I'm trying to utilize.

Hello, I have a couple of questions if you can answer. 1> What are your thoughts on MovaL600? Apparently it’s from Mi group and has suction power of 4000pa with LiDar mapping using Mi home app. 2>How good is Mi app compared to Roborock’s? What’s you take on that ?
@TechMishka3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ronak - the video about L600 should appear tomorrow. It;s a great robot. Uses the Mi Hope app, however has a bit less functions than Roborock. It's a kind of a Dreame device.

I don't trust reviews without negative information. You did not say anything about software problem with Dreame D9, which still has glitches. I am an owner of this robot and could say that multi floor function was important to me. Sorry, in future upgrades only. The robot can barely keep one map in memory. If robot starts another map, it will clear old map immediately and forever. My another robot Xiaomi 1S keeps one map, even if it is making another. Some people are having problems with bumper. I would not recommend this robot yet, I think, Roborock S5 Max is more reliable option.
@TechMishka3 жыл бұрын
It is good to watch the reviews till the end - because there usually is included a list with drawbacks. Like every new product - software is not perfect at the start. Was the same with Roborock years ago.

My D9 is having issue. 1. The mapping sequence is way off now (not doing the normal sequence where it cleans the border from right to left then zig-zag to cover open areas) 2. The mapping in the app (the white lines) also is way off now. Very minimal lines shown despite it already covered more areas) 3. Frequently doing the reverse motion in high velocity and thus hard bang on it’s back, persistently

Hope all is well, being that you have reviewed both the Dreame D9 AND the 360 S9 I'm wondering if you can give your impressions on the hardware/robots themselves, I realize you have not reviewed it yet but the s9 is now shipping with an upgraded 2650 pa. I've heard from someone who is reading the spec sheets that the d9 compares closer to the higher end xiaomi bots like the RR S6 and the 360 bots while good are more comparable to the more entry level xiaomi bot platforms that the s50 is based on.. what say you? We are not talking about the software experience rather the hardware sensors etc...the assumption is the software will get better with updates but the hardware is what is it... (Not sure I agree with the thinking but that was the premise) right now the d9 is selling for $259 on Amazon the s9 $365... The way I see it the s9 has the ultra sonic sensor, a more integrated mopping solution better CFM and the D9 has bigger motor, and larger bin.. hardware wise, Are the machines based on different platforms? Are I missing any other specs considers hardware wise? I understand the software and customer experience is a big part of the equation bit just to understand how different these two are from each other hardware wise now that the s9 has an even larger motor and the crm number where 19 for the d9 and 24 for the s9 prior to the motor upgrade... If the RR s6 is the gold standard how do you rank these two considering the 360 has an updated motor now..
@TechMishka3 жыл бұрын
The 360 model uses a LIDAR platform that many other robots have access too, and is quite good too. As far as I know Roborock are using their own LIDAR development and most likely it's been donated to Dreame. I was a little more confident in the D9. Could be subjective, of course. keep in mind that even if the motor is more powerful, a lot of the performance depends on the internal structure as well. Overall I like the Mi Home app a lot better than 360s app, but we have to admit that right now the S9 Pro has a little more software options.
@ricke951263 жыл бұрын
@@TechMishka thanks, I was getting ready to outline the trigger using your Gearbest link now that they habe upped the motor to 2650 pa but now I'm thinking the D9 might be the better option

How would this work if you have multiple floors in your house? Does it store multiple maps (one for each floor) and detect on which floor it is?
@CRANEREVIEWS3 жыл бұрын
How will it go onto the other floor? If you have multiple floors, probably you have enough money to purchase two or more robo vacuum's. The ideas is to make life easy, having to take it up and down would negate this?
@videopalable3 жыл бұрын
@@CRANEREVIEWS There are many houses with smaller secondary rooms like a shed, garage, storage unit, office etc. Would be great if the robot could just be brought there for those once a month cleaning jobs, without it getting confused :) a dedicated secondary robot for those sounds like an expensive overkill perhaps
@TechMishka3 жыл бұрын
You can load a saved map and use it. Sometimes the Robot recognizes these rooms, sometimes it doesn't. If the room is small - a new map will quickly be created, if needed.

Seems like yet another Roborock clone. I've watched other reviews & the reviewer said that her unit got stuck every single time she sent it out to clean Roborock S6 Pure which the Dreame seems to have copied: cdn.webshopapp.com/shops/210536/files/323813899/650x750x2/image.jpg There was also some misleading marketing regarding the mop being "anti-bacterial" when the anti-bacterial solution isn't sold with the robot
@TechMishka3 жыл бұрын
Might be that the firmware was at older version. Or it may get stuck on very thick carpets - a friend of mine reported it. I don't think they've really copied it. Maybe it;s Xiaomi's strategy to position another brand using proven to be working tech.
@attomicchicken3 жыл бұрын
If it's by that Erin women, then her review is trash. She just needed to put well defined no go zones for areas the robot got stuck in. Judging by how map; she hasn't done this correctly. Also all of those companies are backed by Xiaomi. There's a reason they share designs and software. For some markets, they rebrand things. Very common over there to have different sister companies and sub brands.
