it was saved when they crawled out of the vince-pg era. The influence of HHH can clearly be seen over the past few years, especially building out stables like judgement day to make wrestlers feel more comfortable. The problem is that we still have too much influence from indie-geeks who seem to think that technical wrestling is what professional wrestling should be all about.

That’s the saddest part, but for his health he would probably still be doing matches here and there even now, and he could’ve decided when and what his final match would be, but that has been taken away from him.

It's so cool to hear him talk about decisions and stuff. It's even better to hear how willing he is to listen to the crowd and alter decisions accordingly. I can't count how many times Vince refused to do that and wrestlers got screwed over in the process. Caesaro for years was buried when the crowd was behind him, Rusev Day was huge and nothing was done, it took them years and CM Punk quitting to give Daniel Bryan his push, Zach Ryder was a crowd favorite and buried, Wyatt/The Fiend was as big as you can get and they fed him to Goldberg even though no one wanted it ect. ect.

It will still happen sometime in the future coz that seems to be their end destination. Just like Triple H said that we always have a final destination in your head but somewhere along the way the plan changes and we move along with it. So for now Cody vs Roman was the right way to go but Rock vs Roman will always be their end game.

It’s crazy how the curtain was pulled back on this whole situation so quickly, it made me look at the match differently. Maybe they should’ve waited till after at least a year to tell the backstage story of how Cody got to face Roman at mania 40. Not to mention how Rock was completely out of character at the press conference after night 1 of mania, thanks for killing everyone’s immersion Rock.

Though I didn’t complain… I haven’t been invested in wrestling for a few years, just kept up with some of the goings on… The Rock returning and running heel for this storyline has piqued my interest and got me invested in this “Finish your story Cody” angle, so yes he does have the pulling power to make people watch the product. The fact that Cody/Seth vs Rock/Roman was one of the better matches last night was a bonus.

Well its a match they have been trying to make for a couple years now and is basically going to happen at some point. So it was a given I think that whatever was plan A for when Rock's schedule allowed him to work with Roman, plan A was going to get ditched. To be honest the idea that Cody was about to be "thrown under the bus" is a bit much I think. Two titles. He would have gotten one of them. Maybe the other eventually. When Seth gave that promo trying to change Cody's mind about facing Roman, he made me want to see that match. It was gold. But in the end, whatever happened, I think this was way better than a bland, straight forward story of two guys fighting over the title just because the challenger won a previous match (the rumble). I sometimes wish they'd get rid of that stipulation.

The best part about HHH being in charge is the willingness to adapt, but also to trust the talent to know what's right for their characters. Like H said, if the crowd doesn't like it "We adjust". So happy he's in charge cuz Vince so many times would make a decision and not care about what the fans were telling him.
