Exactly but nowadays those casting choice is getting poor and the actors too are getting lazy to do the workout. Eg. Eternals, Hercules frm ThorL&T, Submariner frm BlackPanther2... They are look so screwup.

You can’t REALISTICALLY expect EVERY SINGLE LAST ACTOR to be in the gym religiously while waiting for a superhero, sports, or action film role. That’s what CGI and muscle suits for actors are for. Most acting roles require little to no physical conditioning. Your fanboy logic is not rooted in reality. By your logic, only bodybuilders and athletes (most of whom have ZERO acting skills and experience) should play superhero/villain roles.

@@JohnSmith-gz5pm I don't expect all superheroes must be muscular actors eg. Dr Strange, Star Lord, Ant-man, Ironman, etc - no complaints if they are not muscular. But some of the characters concept are meant to be muscular especially on Hercules, Drax, Namor who is half naked. I'm sure most audiences would be disappointed to see just a regular guy trying to play like a strong muscular man but isn't really look the part. The logic that I try to debate is to respect the source material other than just demonstrate their acting skills alone would be sound ignorance or even arrogant thinking they could pull off everything just by their acting chop! As for your logic of just relying on CGI & muscle suits approach wouldn't be much cost effective but also undermined the audience intelligence as well as the actors commitment.

@@peterwong8499 Do you have any idea how hard it is to find great actors that are well known, are in peak physical shape and are willing to play the role of such characters???! They hire actors that are able to get people in theater seats and sell out movie tickets and digital downloads. They’re not hiring them for their comic book matching physique. They’re not going to hire a bunch of unknown actors just because they look like your favorite comic book characters. You can find bodybuilders and models and that look nearly identical to comic book characters but no one knows who they are (won’t sell tickets) and they can’t act worth a damn. Its not about their appearance. Its all about whether these actors can get people who are willing to pay money to go see these movies. A lot more money than what Disney paid to get the movie made. They have to a return on their investment. MONEY TALKS AND BULLS#%* WALKS!
