I've said it before and I'll day it again.. if a professional sportsman weather it be snooker, darts, whatever has no respect for his body, he can't have any respect for the game he plays. It's self discipline. It's in the mind. It's simple. You Don't get good with just talent alone. It take lots and lots of hard work mentally and physically. Why can't the world see this.

People shouldn't bring Ronnie's age into it. If his eyesight is still clear then age isn't the defining factor, only motivation. He dug deep this week and won the tournament as a result, so motivation isn't an issue either. He's as good as he's ever been.

People will always bring age into because in the past nobody of his age was still playing at the top level,they were well past it BUT nowadays there isn't just Ronnie but John Higgins and Mark Williams who are all 47 and all right at the top

I mean, just the fact that Brecel is the only player in Top 16, who's age is smaller than 30, and him and Lisowski are the only ones in Top 16 younger than 35, basically says that aging in snooker is actually good thing

Unbelievable performance. I’ve not watched Snooker for YEARS, though thanks to stephen hendry ‘s youtube channel it has a sparked that fire up for it again. This is Vintage Ronny, also shocking to hear about the £10k biggest break prize. Come on organisers, give them more of an incentive. I remember it used to be 100k on what it ever used to be 143k etc etc…what’s happened? 🤷‍♂️

That prize was only for the world's, £147 000 for a 147 break. The prize was still £110 000 gor the runner up and £250 000 for the winner,so not a bad payday for both of them

At lunchtimes, at all international tournaments, the referees go, altogether, to Chinese restaurants. While there they order 1, 8, 9, 16, 17, 24, 25, 32, 33, 40, 41, 48, 49, 56, 57, 64, ...147.

Ronnie got lucky in that last frame.. The kiss off the brown left Luca with a tougher shot, which gave Ronnie the advantage. Small margins at this level of snooker which makes all the difference.. Credit to Luca for making the final a proper match.. It takes 2 GREAT players to make a GREAT final.

If you’re going to fix a match, you need to get some odds for betting. World champion against Ronnie O’Sullivan won’t give you those odds. Brecel misses some because he goes for everything. It’s part of his game.
