Great video! I just purchased this amp for my F-150 setup. I had already replaced the factory speakers in the front doors a couple years ago with RF 1683 Punch 6 x 8's, so wanted to stick with that brand. Will add them in the rear doors also, along with an under-the-seat woofer from RF, too. Having them professionally installed in about a week. Can't wait!

Great video! Looks very promising, hopefully they will release a more powerful 5ch with a bass knob. The only issue I saw in the video was the idle current. They should be around 2-3 Amps, not 23A. Keep up the great vids!

Hey Dean! If you remember me and remember my Rockford collection you know I have a little love for Rockford LOL. I have 2, of the PBR300X4 and 3 of the PBR300X1. I swap my amplifiers out quite a bit in my truck because I just simply love hearing and seeing different things. I have been so excited about these amps and you have gave me the confidence to sell the 5 I have and go to 2 of these. I can do this now since these are 2 ohm stable. I can use 1.5 amplifiers for midbass, mid-range, and highs. Then the last channel can handle the subwoofers. My processing is handled by Dayton Audio's DSP408. It is a great unit and offers an excellent price along with tons of adjustments and features. Just another great video and most successful test! The LAB Works!

Not to be a Debbie downer, but for the guy who wanted to run all four channels individually. Like 4 ohm components on the front two channels and 2 coaxials for rear fill on the rear 2 channels is better off getting the 300/4 300/4 does 84rms x 4 at 4ohms 400/4 does 50rms x 4 at 4 ohms. I get the obvious flexibility the 400 offers. But majority of people out there just getting started in car audio are going to want to run components on front channels and coaxials in the rear on the rear channels My apologies if I misinterpreted the amp ratings. But thought I’d give my opinion. Awesome video like always. Love your channel!!

I have a Walmart Dual brand Class D amp 236 watts on a JL W0v3. I amazed at that small fit in hand amp pushing that sub for hrs!!

You guys should put in the new kicker key amp active and see how their dsp time allignment auto eq works for you.

I've been using the alpine ktp445 units for years now and can attest to the quality of these small class d amps. I'll give the Rockford stuff a look moving forward.

7:23 hey guys, looking at the inside of the new amp, it has 4 transistor looking thingies on the top left where the PBR300 doesn't, is that noise filters? I'm worried about noise, and am trying to decide between this compact 4 channel 400W and the regular Punch P400X4, but I really really like this one and want to make sure it's a top class D design with noise filters.

I just installed one of these in my truck. What’s the acceptable operating temperature for these amps? Mine gets quite hot. It’s just sitting on the trans tunnel between the front seats, I plow snow for 7-8 hours at a time, it gets so hot I can barely hold my hand on it, even when not cranking the music.

I believe the amp is doing the crossovering since I don’t see the capacitor on the tweeter itself like the lower models. So I should be okay not connecting my new tweeter inline crossover correct? Hey guys, you know if that amp has a noise filter like other high end class D amps? How is the sound quality? I have to decide between this model and the Class AB Punch 400x4 normal model, I prefer the smaller but not if it's a sacrifice of sound quality.

I’ve got two 6 1/2‘s and four 6 x 9’s I want to install on a motorcycle. All 6 speakers are 4 ohm impedance. Can I run the two 6 1/2 and one output at four ohms and the four 6 x 9‘s wired in parallel at two ohms in the second output with this amp?

These are perfect for my application (need small amps to go with my MiniDSP in a BM E46 Touring (Wagon). I need two of them for 8 channel (active three way front, plus stereo rear fill).
