Even in this video he referred to it as a watch worth $8K. While I understand his point, all watches are overpriced. To say it’s worth $8K bc that’s the number Rolex suggested is a fallacy. It’s worth what the majority of people in the market are willing to pay for it, which appears to be safely between 20-30K depending on market conditions and condition of the watch

That Green Oris Pointer Date was my first grail watch. I think the combo of the British racing green, red tip of the pointer date, and the steel case were the best combination for this watch. I was so excited when I finally got my hands on one. Sadly, the lug to lug was just too big on my wrist. I ended up making some money on the resale though, so too bad of an experience.

Love the Hulk! Several years ago I was at the AD and buying a new watch. It was between the SD4K and Hulk. It was a very tough choice! I went with the SD4K, which I still have, but I still love the Hulk too.

Up paid for my Hulk back in the day on the Grey but really glad it's in the collection. Had a chance to unload few months back in the upper 20's but just couldn't part with it. It's an iconic watch all be it polarizing but it's one of the most recognizable watches even for those who aren't per say collectors. Look at what RM's, AP's are moving for, some multiple times over the Hulk even at its peak yet the HULK still commands respect and attention which is what you are paying for in luxury brand goods

Boom watch fan :) I had a chance to try hulk on my wrist and I like the way how it plays with light. Its a cliche but really it can be hulk, cermit or regular sub (ok that's a stretch but anywayz) depending on light.

Great video. Love to see one focused on the rarer and experimental phases of Rolex, like the Malachite dial you touched upon, as well as the other natural stone varietals (Tiger Eye, Lapis, Onyx, Meteorite etc) and gemstones (Daytona Rainbow).

Dark green and gold looks good together, or with dark wood like Michael mentioned. Green on steel looks... really green. Maxi-case, date, magnifier, War&Peace on the dial -- it's aptly nicknamed, I'll give it that.

Had the good fortune to purchase the hulk on my daughter’s birth year. Loved it ever since. Love the way the dial changes color depending on the season.

Whacking the crown on something can mess with the seals, reducing the water resistance. Crown guards exist mostly to protect the seals.

I actually sold this exact reference of Oris to buy my 2018 hulk! I don’t regret buying the hulk at all, it’s my favorite watch I own. I do however, miss this pointer date. Both are such incredible watches.

The Oris pointer date now has the Caliber 400. 10 year warranty and 10 year service intervals.

There are 31 of these under UK alone on Chrono 24. ( 142 in total ). They have come down from 25k to some now at 17.5k. Many of the sellers are personal which shows that the dealers are offering much less. I would think these will sink back to 15-16.5k which they were before the recent escalation in prices which affected all Rolex models.
