Bill left when the Stones stopped being creative and became their own tribute band. Too many egos getting in the way of the music for Bill. I always appreciated Bill's playing, Bill and Charlie laid down the tightest and most solid groove for the other guys. That drum and bass combo was amazing

Yes - and Bill said Charlie was thankful to him for getting him more money. Mick and Keith were screwing them. And they're still screwing Bill. Why in the hell couldn't they have given him a full role in the 50th Anniversary tour and paid him lavishly for it? It's not like they're hurting at all - their savings should take them to the end of their lifespan, I would think, haha.

@@warrennotes3575 well put,but poor old Mick Taylors net worth some time ago,was listed as$800.000, pretty shabby considering the Taylor years,are considered the cream years...and yes personal problems are listed,but surely the could throw him a million or two.

It’s so funny, I like guacamole but I don’t like avocados. I think they’re too bland. Guacamole has lime and other spices in it to give it the flavor. I had a piece of avocado when I was in second grade and I did not like it and I’d been afraid to try guacamole ever since but one day we went to a local Mexican restaurant and I finally worked up the courage to try some & I liked it.

He's right; everybody has their fingers in the pie before the performers even see any money and this has sunk rising stars-look at Badfinger! They were getting $300.00 a week whilst generating millions of dollars world wide!

Klein really did a number on them by suing them and keeping the publishing rights to all songs 'till '69 I think but they deserve it for what they did to Brian.
@johnnewman8412
@johnnewman8412 5 жыл бұрын
The thing I can't get over is that Klein screwed them over royally, stole millions and still somehow came away owning the rights to everything they recorded prior to about 1972. A fat, thieving fucker without an iota of artistic talent owns the greatest rock n roll music ever made, think about that. If it was a one-off scenario it would be bad enough, but it's the norm for producers, managers and other supposed 'employees' of the artists who end up with most of the publishing rights. The internet may have destroyed the recording industry but at the very least it allows artists to make and distribute music without the bloodsuckers taking their cut.

john newman True that the Internet is cutting out all those sleazy middlemen but the public is used to free downloads now so how do you make any money? Touring is expensive so that’s not necessarily going to pay off unless you sell out stadiums. Some bands aren’t big enough for that and only play clubs so they’re going to stay poor. The music business is a tough way to make a living. Only a chosen few can do it.
