@Johnny Chimpo True, but the stones live are just unbearable to me. And I listen to them all day long every day. Weird. I went to see them in 1981 "Tatoo You" tour and I sh't you not, I walked out. There was the Clash, Police, and some other bands.

He's always going to be the drummer to the best Rock and Roll band ever. Guys like Beethoven and Mozart will always be remembered. It's been hundreds of years and they are just as famous as they ever were. This will also be the case for a lot of the music of the 20th century. In my opinion as a music teacher and musician, the best century for music.

Back in the day when not a lot of effort was put into making music videos. I'm guessing this was recorded in one take and someone said, "ok fuck it, good enough!".

Not even close, but it was a great resurgence for the boys. Tattoo You found them reinvigorated and in top form, especially after both the commercial and critical disappointment of Emotional Rescue. Although they achieved much success as a touring act after Tattoo You, and churned out some good songs, they never reached these heights again as a recording act. Still love them and always will, though.

z1inspector In the studio, Keith recorded the lead part. But he isn't miming it here. Ron is miming his real part here, but keith was maybe too lazy for that, he also just mimes playing a rythm progression. live, you can hear them playing something different
