Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. This is the first full 4K video and, wow, is it on a great job. In the last video, Ethan witnessed a framed dump trailer rollover. We didn't get the job of uprighting that particular dump trailer, but later that week we did get to work THIS dump trailer rollover. Our customer gets off to a "rocky" start at a construction site when a dump trailer starts to get a little sideways...or decides to lay down on the job, however you choose to see it. There were mountains to climb and we couldn't take anything for "granite" on this "rock"-overy. I know, I "shale" stop with the "gravel" puns. Anyway, our crew uses our Peterbilt 389-X with a Miller Industries, Century 1150R Rotator towing and recovery unit and our Peterbilt 337 with a Century 4024, 20 ton towing and recovery unit, to try to solve this problem. Hopefully, the watch has been worth the wait!!! I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

I built and repaired dump trailers for over 25 years. Nice to see a really good recovery. I've dealt with more than a few units that the recovery people did more damage than the roll over. And you were lucky the hydraulic cylinder retracted, often they were damaged and it wouldn't collapse. But REALLY nice work.

I'm thinking about moving to America, just to learn from Ron. My off-road recoveries have improved (and probably a lot, lot safer) thanks to Ron and Casey LaDelle. Now the only complaints I get, when doing my winching, is that I over-engineer it. My response? "It never hurts to think of Safety"

Here's a little lineman's trick Ron. Fold the tape over on itself when your done with it. That goes for the roll and whatever your taping. It just leaves you a tiny tab so you can always remove the tape from the roll and the thing you taped. We have to do that on powerlines because of our rubber gloves and leather covers. I promise if you get in the habit of doing it. You'll do it every time without thinking.

@Paul Crumley I wish I had kept the camera rolling for that part, because it turned out to be the most difficult part of the job. The uprighting was simple in comparison!! What I thought was going to be a simple hookup and tow turned into quite the challenge We couldn't tow the combination with the Rotator because of the narrow driveway and culvert. We used the single axle Pete and had very little weight on the steer tires. Loose dirt, loose gravel, hillside, narrow driveway, and gravity proved to be a difficult combination. We considered "split-towing" them, but the aforementioned conditions created the same problems for dropping the partially loaded trailer. We made it, but there were a few "hairy" moments. Thanks for watching and God bless.

I enjoy watching your recovery videos and I enjoy seeing your crews working together to make sure that everyone has a safe day, from the person who attached the cable to the traffic control to the car that navigates the road around the incident scene. Your attitude and attention to safety is always above and beyond standards very professional and very respectful. All things considered you have been very well respected and watched over by Gods grace and respect. But your actions are also the reason that his grace is so strong, and his mercy is so powerful that those who are suffering can be calmed and loved. Thanks for your service. I enjoy your work and tutoring towards the future of your business and those young men growing into a successful and well respected professional. I watched your son grow up from that young boy helping you lift up the school bus for the school demonstrations to going out with the roll back solo, what a wonderful opportunity for a young man and his future. I have watched many rollover as well as other calamities. Midwest, LA, Great Britain and German. L.A., Great Britain and Germany uses fine heavy duty equipment and many types of recovery trucks and have many trucks to do the job that Ron does with 1 or 2 trucks. With roll overs they don't often slow the truck and trailer down but let it slam it's wheel into the ground which hurts to watch. Ron really showed how it is done in this fine video, probably the finest recovery of it's kind I have ever seen. With Ron you also have a play by play explanation which it makes his video much more pleasant and instructional. By rights, being an old retired guy I expect that I will never encounter need of any knowledge I can glean from the movies. I have actually learned quite few things that makes other jobs easier and safer. Thank You Ron, you are the best.

That young man Mike is a working fool. Only asks one time so he's sure he knows what you want---he is invaluable--takes care of all the details. Love your videos..

This video shows several key points within your company. 1, The importance of safety. At one point you commented about 'that's why you have a hard hat'. You ask for the team to be careful and watch their footing on the loose rock. 1b, You requested job critical communication only. It's important to have clear communication when working a job as such. Idle chit-chat can prohibit critical information from being relayed on comm-sets like what you are using. 2, You are showing professionalism in your work. Strapping the box, trying not to crush it even though you think it's done for. That's not always the case once it's uprighted. Taping the chain. Orchestrating the whole team at the same time to perform multiple tasks. 3, Teamwork. You have multiple people working together doing different tasks at the same time. They are fairly well trained enough to work with you, knowing what's needing to be done. They know the drill, you're just being the conductor the Orchestra. 4, You still have humor. I've seen you have a good laugh even in serious situations. It helps relieve tension among your crew, first responders, even customers. I've watched you tell people that it happens, it's no big deal... then share jokes about it. Humor really does help the overall moral. Lastly... having such a huge crew on site for these situations isn't necessarily needed. But it helps get the job done quicker so you can get on to the next. It takes the workload off of the crew. And it also helps with training. There will be calls that you can't respond to, whereas Ethan can. He can use the crew to help him, as they already have the knowledge of what to do. It's better that they are on-site working with you. Learning from you. That way you know that you can trust them on those calls that you can't make. Between Ethan and Mike, you certainly have great leadership in the making. You are a wonderful person Ron. God bless. Happy Christmas and Merry New Year 💜

I am reminded of Ethan's quote from the other video: "Good thing we have a tow truck!" Some of that sketchy ground, having that backup was a good thing.

Excellent job. Great team work. All your crew was eager to jump right in. Ron I am so glad that you let the guys do things. If it isn't going to work that way. You do not fuss or down grade them at all. That is so sweet and makes them feel important. I think Ethan liked climbing around on the top of that trailer. LOL. Great video as always. So glad you keep God front and center. May he bless you all. Merry Christmas.

Great video Ron. You even had the teachers helper (Mike) there with you. I don’t think all the others there realize that the headsets are there for communication for the job. Too many people talking at once can make it so vital information is ignored. At the same time they are learning a trade. They will improve, because they have a instructor that has a lot of patients and wants them to succeed. Stay safe, stay healthy, and god bless…

Learning not to swamp the radio is an art form. Only way to learn is by doing. Ron's request for sterile radio comms during critical phases is excellent.

I just spotted the typo: Patience, not patients. Midwest doesn't need not want the latter.

Great job, as always. I was a little surprised you didn't pull the driveline while it was still on its side and easy to access.
