Mick's dancing in his best Wizard of Oz outfit, Keith's stoned out of his mind, Charlie's rolling his eyes at Mick, Bill looks bored and Mick Taylor is contemplating his life choices... Yup, this is classic Rolling Stones!

Indeed, but I'm not sure I would call Mick's movements 'dancing'. It's more like his pelvis is utterly locked and frozen and every other body part is moving wildly out of that place in an attempt to flee. So bizarre, but classic Mick Jagger, yes.

Got GHS on vinyl in '73. Love it! I had the "Soup" poster glued to the inside cover of my art supply box. Commercial Art instructor loved it, thought it was a bit sick. Then he went on to explain to the class how it was done, dry ice to make the bubbles & steam etc. Back in the days when you'd set up the shot for camera, before computers, no Photoshop.

This is what makes the Stones so fun to watch, they really are two, sometimes, three groups of people who just happen to be on the same stage playing the same song. For me, I am always looking for the shots of Bill and Charlie jus to see their expression/reaction. That is why these guys are so much fun to watch snd sometimes, I would even imagine Brian is there too.

You know the band isn't actually playing, here, right? As with many recorded "performances" that the band did in this time period (including some TV performances), The band isn't actually playing their instruments (not, truly, plugged in.) In many cases, it's only Mick Jagger who'd performing "live". In other occasions, even Mick is just lip-syncing.

Yes, I love any Stones song where you can hear Keith in the backing vocals. Though he doesn't have a good singing voice, oddly his voice and Mick's voice sound great, together, with Keith often times taking the higher notes/tone/key of the harmony and Mick taking a lower note/tone/key of the harmony.

This moment in time in the Rolling Stones trajectory, not unlike that of Icarus, who after a few hushed moments of glorious silence as he maintained his zenith, begin those first few moments of declination, as he falls back down to earth, never again to achieve the heights of - in the Stones case - Exile On Main Street and the run of albums from 1968-1972. Or, in relation to the campaign of rock ‘n’ roll that is the Rolling Stones, this moment also reminds me of the German army on September 1, 1942, at the height of their power and menace, and full of pride and confidence, beginning their long march to….Stalingrad. Sure, there would be other peaks, and other moments of victory and glory along the way. But all things that rise must eventually fall. Fortunately for us, their fall has been long and full of still incredible music for decades to come, right up to the present day.

Jagger at the peak of the decadent Glam period. They seemed especially dangerous then.

@slomojoe77 actually it is probably the other way around if you feel threatened-this was the glam rock period and Jagger epitomized androgeny. You seem to naive to know the difference,

Keefdid the bass on the this. BW just playing along for the video. Kind of like when you watch The eagles I can't Tell You why and you hear that great guitar solo and it looks like Don felder's playing it but he's not Glenn played the keys on the Hammond roads but also did the lead licks and guitar solo but you have to make the other members look like they're doing something
