She probably has to die in some specific way first for the ancient magic gene to awaken though. So she'll be very close to death and he'll be riddled with guilt and refusing to use his magic anymore to spend her last year with her, when it's suddenly cut short when she takes a blow meant for him. She dies in his arms and he's more devastated than ever and refuses to see her dead body once he's put it in the frozen vault. However meanwhile her best friend and probably second ML has been doing research and learns that all she needs is true loves kiss to be revived and immortal forever, but it needs to happen within three days of her death and the clock is ticking even more! I didn't know where I was going when I started this reply XD

Oh boy imagine the storyline being that his first ex was his true love and the magic he uses your life force for is summoning back her spirit for the amount of time stolen. Then keeps the corpses because ghost gf is a freak and sees the others as her new wardrobe.

If he doesn't tell them *before* the marriage, he doesn't get to draw the power. The spells are quite proper. It would be a kicker if they find another power couple but they mention that with a divorce the non-magic user gets all their days back, however it's still a gamble since you don't know how many days you have left.

Depends. How many days are there of Fantasy's life? Like, if she's immortal, then they're a match made in, well, not Heaven but somewhere. That being said, China doesn't have this many red flags

@@katelyntaylor7384 There's actually a book on that premise 😂 It's called The Undying King by Grace Draven (who writes AMAZING fantasy books) and the romance is between he who cannot die and she whose touch is death. They balance each other nicely, don't you think?

Thought about Fae way too much to not immediately panic at "gave" me the key. "In exchange for what!?" Screams my mind, they dont give gifts! Also surely not THE key, a vsylt like thdt would be too important to give you the jdy if there was only one. And moreover if there was only one triple panic about the cost!

The way that the key to a room with dead exes reminded me of the Blackbeard fairytale which I read maybe once or twice as a child and haven’t thought about in what is at least 8 years… this video just randomly unlocked a memory deja vu style, while it has nothing to do with the plot I thank you for triggering this odd revelation.
