The only thing more unpredictable than a fuel-burning Funny Car is two of its greatest jockeys huddled around a microphone, and in front of a camera. It's the latest episode of The Ron Capps, the video series created out of boredom.
Capps, who drives the NAPA Auto Parts Funny Car, huddles over a stack of Goodyear slicks to talk with his friendly rival (and hero), John Force about how he gets up for the big game.
Of course, Force being Force, somewhat answers the question but also ventures off into the land of dreams, shrinks, bedtime and diets. He also talks about dream therapy and fence climbing. Of course, there's that kiss on the lips in Seattle.

First of all whom ever thumbs down this turn it around and put it where the sun dont shine. When John os no longer in drag racing it will be a sad sad day. This man is the word electrifying. If I hit the lottery I wanna spend everyday with John. This man is legend with every breath out of his mouth.

I don't give an F who you are, what you do, or where you've been... You will NEVER find a greater man, personality, racer, or legend than Southern California's John Force. What you see is what you get. A loyal, loving man with a big mouth, a scrambled brain, a heart made of gold the size of Montana, that still flat-out slams that pedal to the floor and steers that rocket better than anyone who's ever lived. Absolutely love and respect that "old truck driver" and all of the professional commitment at John Force Racing. Ron, you are the heir to the throne. 100% badass, with personality and drive by the boatload. You make your fans proud. Good luck this season. Be fast and be safe!

Such a great episode. Ron Capps and John Force are two of my favorite racers. Glad I got to see them in Las Vegas, November 2019. Much respect for them.

Gawd! I've wondered over the years if John even realizes how important he is in all of our hearts - there are no words to express except love for the man. Sure, love all the heros of NHRA, Garlits, Glidden, Muldowney, Armstrong-Bernstein and the rest but there's on one "JOHN BRUTE FORCE" ! The Greatest of all.

Loved when he and Bernstein were always in the final round Bernstein always seemed to win but they always went to Force for the interview

@@bigunone 10-4 Charlie - for a time Bernstein, had (on average) nearly a 10th on the field of funny cars - which of course is completely UNBELIEVABLE - then came the came the single pass, I don't recall what race or round - and Bernstein stupidly used Armstrong's secrete - the lock up clutch and everyone "heard" it near the end of the run - that was the beginning of the end of the huge edge Bernstein had on the field including Force, loved them both at the time but like you mentioned and I totally agree, I only cared about what John had to say ! A real life hero in my book.

In 1995 I was watching Austin tune John's car. John came out of the trailer and walked out into the crowd. A guy next to me asked him to sign his hat. John took the hat and marker and signed it Joe Amato. The guy looked at it and said to me isn't that John Force? I said yep, that is typical John Force. The guy threw the dang hat on the ground mad. I grabbed it up. Today I own a hat signed by John Force with Joe Amato's name on it.

FYI i have yelled This about 200 times at Force .>>>>WE LOVE YOU JOHN!!!!!!!!!.. and about 190 times he yelled back.>>>> AND I LOVE YOU GUYS TO!!!!!.. John should try a sauerkraut and pickle egg diet at least those around him might keep him awake. But seriously he had jerky and some kind of chips at a meet and greet before Sonoma and Robert had granola bars and nuts, there diet and lack of perfect fitness make them more like their fans.

You 2 guys need to learn how to breathe & meditate. Breathing helps you sleep better and causes more rim time which is restful/complete sleep. Being tense causes bad sleep, the fear dreams failure, being chased. Meditation will relax you and turn the brain off. This is the bases of quality sleep and you will find yourself being sharper with better reaction time ie. everything that you need in and out of the car. No charge for this consultation simply because I love what you gentlemen do. Start a vitamin regime along with tea non caffeine because after about 15 days you we realize you don't need it. No more than 2 cups of coffee for the day because your energy will be off the charts and it will be natural to no spikes no let downs.👍😎

I call bullshit John is the kind of guy that's there waiting to run don't see him showing up late he takes personal responsibility as a serious thing and it's kinda easy to read on some people as for capps you would think this is the most important job I have at this time and putting forth the effort to be in attendance and be punctual about it would come into play but we're all not wired the same way
