Lyrics:
Do I need your arms around me?
Do I live my life for you?
Do I always feel so warm each time
I look in your eyes of blue?
Oh, oh, oh (oh, oh, oh)
Oh, oh, oh (oh, oh, oh)
Oh, oh, oh (Do I love you?)
Oh, oh, oh (Yes I love you)
Oh, oh

What ever Phil Spector did , he brought us the Ronettes, the Crystals, the Righteous Brothers, Sonny Charles , Ike and Tina Turner and The Wall of Sound. The soundtrack of my youth and my life. Indeed! There were singers that had pretty voices like Karen Carpenter but the intensity in the old tunes like this cannot ever be matched. So much heart & soul in her voice. Harmonies are also a must in songs of which today’s music is totally lacking substance!

Very underrated song. It is very surprising it did not chart higher. It captures the essence of Phil Spector's wall of sound.
@ludditeneaderthal
@ludditeneaderthal 2 жыл бұрын
It's actually just a little too "busy". The fill tracks tend to wash out the vocals, kind of losing the song itself. Just a bit too wall of sound for the average pop listener, which probably cost it in popularity. Had the vocals been an obvious "front track", and the fill obvious "backing", it probably would have seen similar popularity to their smash hits

My Favorite of them all. Fabulous. The Trombones and instrumentation really make this song. Unlike anything I have heard.

Absolutely amazing. I'm 29 and when I was a wee dafty, (9 year old or something) I was the one out of all my mates listening to this when I went hame and slowly being turned into a person who prefers older music. There's just something about the way it tugs at the heart strings. This must of blew peoples minds back when it first came out!
