Honestly, not a huge huge hammy fan but sometimes youtube takes you places and im really glad it did. This is so artfully done and really I personally strive to be able to have this kind of spacial and theatrical ability in my works one day. I absolutely love your use of size as a dramatic catalyst as well as your use of dystonic imagery. Your visuals stay in line with the song and the whole musical in a extremely proficient way and honestly I wouldn't change much. I love the nods to M.C. Escher's work as well as your use of the door as unreachable. Then how you used the light and windows-- ahhhh its so good! Seriously, this is really great. I'd be fun to see it all polished up and properly animated, but then again, so many hours in the day. haha.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but if they do a Hamilton movie it may work better animated. The symbolism used in this video adds more to the layers that Burr already had as a character. Rather than just bringing the stage to film more nuance can be discovered through animation.

This is the song that made me love Burr. Yes he screwed up... a lot. He could even be called spineless for not standing up for his views, whatever they were. But I believe he was also very misunderstood. He wanted to preserve himself and his family while still being in "the room where it happens" but could never quite get there. He blamed Hamilton because 1. He did have a lot to do with it and 2. He didn't want to blame himself. At the end, when he realizes he killed his only friend, he's overcome with guilt and the realization that he is essentially the most hated man in America. I guess I just have a lot of sympathy towards Burr, he could never win.

I like what you did with Burr in this, and how you portrayed Hamilton. Hamilton was reckless, immature, and well... a bitch, especially to Burr (historically, i suppose, not AS much in the musical but he was still portrayed as incredibly reckless) and Hamilton shooting down Burr constantly in a condescending and rude manner instead of professional (to clarify: shooting someone in a duel is not professional either) is just... accurate.

I love how you can kind of see Hamilton/Burr drifting apart It's like 'Aaron Burr, Sir' reversed 0:30 Burr's laugh can be interpreted many ways by many different artists... Here it makes him look sort of hurt, like he was just trying to lighten the mood but then Hamilton lashed out on his well-meaning advice and idk if that was your intention but it goes sO WELL 0:39 Hamilton literally SHOVES HIS HAND OFF?? omg rude?? It's a little thing that shouldn't bother him (so what if you weren't invited? this has like nothing to do with you) but it does anyway 1:45 Again, not related but i LAUGHED SO HARD AT ALEX'S SARCASTIC 'DAMSEL IN DISTRESS' POSE AHAHAHA (You know what, I'm gonna start just commenting on my favorite parts. Because I'm lazy to keep to my theme.) 2:13 When it said 'the pieces that get sacrificed' and the chess piece went to squash Burr, I actually softly muttered a 'oh shit that's good' out loud 3:01 I loved this image too much, and I'm not even sure why. The whole Burr-Hamilton confrontation was priceless. Hamilton looked so snarky and condescending, while you can see Burr visibly alarmed like 'well i certainly didn't expect that', and as Hamilton continues to talk he gets more and more.... I don't know if frightened's the right word?? But then he falls and no one moves to help him and uGH that was so good. 4:34 and 5:01 reminded me of the 'Hamilton faces an endless uphill climb' lyric. Now everything's reversed, and Burr continues to go and go even though he's getting nowhere. And then there was that leap of faith jump aND HE MISSED AND FELL OMG thAT WAS SUCH A GREAT ENDING!!! ....Ahh I'm sorry, this comment has gotten way too long and is basically just a list of my interpretations. Me listening to this song for the first time: This is just a fun song Lin came up with to poke fun of the fact that there wasn't any historical evidence around one of the more pivotal parts of his play. Me listening to this song for the 69001st time: This is the most ingenious villain song ever crafted.

This is probably the scariest song in the entire musical. While songs like the Ten Duel Commandments or Stay Alive ( Reprise) are nerve wracking, nothing really compares to the sort of fear that can be sparked by such a mystery. Anyways, I guess if we ever invent time travel we'll finally know what went down in the room where it happened.

I personally find the part in the beginning where Hamilton says, “Talk less. Smile more,” to be unnerving, and you did really well in Burr’s reaction to that. All throughout the animation you do such great expressions and conveying emotions.

This is the closest animatic of this that I would personally make (you know, if I could draw). It goes with my personal interpretation that Burr has a minor form of OCD and is trying to keep it in check, but this is the time where he can't. I cannot get over your ingenuity with visualizing "Click Boom," especially the first one. I also love the Hamilton confrontation, because 1: Hamilton is physically looking up to Burr, and that shot of him looking up to Burr at 3:41 is practically Burr saying "This man is beneath me; how DARE he talk down to me." And 2: the other faces that appear around 3:50 are like Burr's demons haunting him about this whole thing. But the thing that I honestly find unique and amazing about this is that Jefferson and Madison are clinking glasses during their section together. It's a small thing, but it really changes your view of the section, and puts emphasis on the word "propose" because of "proposing a toast." Apologies for the length of this comment, but your art style is now one of my personal favorites and I love to analyze things like these. I really want to see more of these and see how you approach the musical

This is definitely my favorite interpretation of this song. Burr seems like he's really driving himself insane just because we wants to mean something. He's tearing apart his relationship with Hamilton and then Hamilton just outright puts down Burr's philosophy of "waiting for it." Beautiful work!!

This is one of my fave animatics because in the song you can actually hear Aaron's personality shift in the music, and this is the only animatic that shows his frustrations and personality shift, which is what makes it genius
