Rosie, you were the emotion in the World to me that I never saw anywhere else. I was 22 when this happened. Thank you for caring about everything like you do. Love you.

This was after the Columbine High School shooting in April, 1999. So glad you talked about it in this episode. I hope we’re getting close to that infamous Tom Selleck interview.

That one is about a month away. It was the day before the Backstreet Boys episode that I taped as a kid.

I remember as a child watching this. This episode is so important to me. Answered so much questions. Thank you Rosie for being a voice. Always. What’s disappointing is that gun violence is still a big issue in America.

I often wonder what they changed the theme song to before this one LOL “Here’s the old theme song, back and better than great. You told us you hated the new one”

When I think about pivotal moments in my childhood I think of Columbine, and I think of this moment. My mom was a SAHM and she watched Rosie’s show all the time, and I specifically remember this as a rainy day at home, watching Rosie’s opening and my mom crying and watching this.

This is a sad episode guns laws need to be tougher. No citizens should be allow to have licence to carry guns because alot of innocence people are getting killed. We live in crazy world and we don't feel safe to go school or walk down the street. We need world peace and everyone should be kind to each other not hate eachother.😢✌️

25 years later and absolutely nothing has changed. This should've never ever happened again after this tragedy. But it's a common regular occurrence 25 years later.

You could tell the devastation in Rosie's eyes. Oh, to see it the way the helpers did back in the day. She has always been ahead of the curb when it came to speaking truth to power.

You can see it right away in her face when she came out frim the curtain - her anguish. Anyone know how the first lady with the cancer is doing?
@zachhoran7 ай бұрын
She has passed away, not sure what year. There is a Tanya McWhorter who died in 2000, could be the same person.

@@zachhoran - so sad to hear she passed away some years after. I noticed it right away on Rosie's countenance and I originally assumed she was sadden for the first lady...

This the moment that changed Rosie publicly for better or worse.

Rosie was guest-hosting Regis & Kathy Lee before she went & did her show. Regis was off that day.

Rosie's short stint on The View is what changed the public perception of her more than anything. Rosie normally steered clear of politics on her show, with this episode being an exception.

@@I_WANT_MY_SLAW yeah but it also didn't come out of nowhere either. this event (Columbine) started the discussion with the NRA in Tom Selleck's interview if Columbine never happened his interview would be uneventful.

There are so many mass shootings every year now that, sadly, I can't keep track of who, where, or how many. Poor Sean and Audra to have to follow the Columbine discussion. Wish I could have seen him in "Oscar".

And it's still happening more frequently than ever. Even one doesn't believe in gun control, how can they be ok with keeping things just the same and expect different results? Just try changing something for goodness sake.

Can someone please show me where Leif Garrett was injured by a crack pipe like Rosie said???!!! I don’t see it at all. But what I do see is someone who’s obviously high and on the skids. Leif Garrett made several bad choices through the years, and the effects are seen here.

Guns aren’t the problem. The shows aren’t the problem. Parents not being parents is and always has been the problem. Kids shouldn’t be watching Jerry springer. If a kid gets a gun the gun owner should go to jail for life. Watch how fast they stop getting their parents guns.
