Here is a "what if Zep played it live" version of The Rover. Zep never really played the song live, only the intro which led into Sick Again on the 77 tour.
I am sprucing up my pratice space and added some sound treatments from Audimute. They make a great product and offer custom printed graphic image panels...so I got some 2x2 panels of my drum heroes.
About the kit:
26x14, 14x10 (12 lugs),16x16, 18x16 RCI Starlite Super Duty acrylic shells, with Ludwig classic lugs, mounts, claws and t-rods, repro pointy badges, vintage Ludwig rail mount. Snare is a mid 70's 6.5x14 Ludwig 402 Supraphonic.
RCI has been making high quality acrylic shells for nearly 20 years. RCI Super Duty shells are made in America. They feature a welded (not glued) seam, 45 degree glass cut edges, and are scratch and impact resistant. They are very resonant and feature exceptional projection and tone.

Without Bonzo this track would be a sleeping pill. Any other drummer couldn't have lifted it up. Great sounding kit! Very musical.

Fabulous. You are right, it’s a pity LZ never played the Rover as it’s a great song. Brilliant Bonzo fills and groove. Your RCI acrylic looks amazing. Beautiful. Love your incredible Ludwig set!! Such a deep impactive sound! Use to have a chrome 80s Ludwig Rockers set when I was in a band in the 80s with 2002s 505s & Rude Paistes. Loved that set!!! Now Im rocking the Yamaha edrums with a deep oak snare doing drumless song. Only if I could get your sound outta them..hehe!! Great job!!🥁🔥👍

I see George feels the same way about this tune as I do, you never want it to end! Lovin those VISTAS! I used to play this with my band, years ago! It has that great chugging bass line that drives it! Don't know why they never played this entire song and just used it to intro The Wanton Song!? I would have loved to hear them play this all the way through, it's a jam. Maybe Plant couldn't hit those notes? I don't know. Great job George!

Thank you, yeah I think it may have been a problem with the vocal range. Plant would have had to alter the melody like he did on many other tunes but maybe they felt it just didn't work that way
