We can convert them to street legal in most states with a flash of the ECU then registering it as a streetable dune buggy

Purely for legal reasons. Nearly everything you need to make it street legal in the US is already installed.

Apparently if you remove the 45mph governor in the ECU, you can not only get more torque, but you can max it out around 70mph

In India we dont have the concept of Road legal or not. Buy any vehicle and you get a Registration no in 3 days.

anyone can buy it without any doubt it's durable, easily repairable ,less maintenance cost and it can travel more than 100 miles/h if anybody wanna see the real version of Roxor search in internet as 'Mahindra THAR'

Super easy ecu flash will get you 73 mph top speed and tons more torque and hp. I want one of these boys

Or just disconnect the speed sensor. Its where the rear driveshaft meets the transfer case. It stsnds out. You speedo will cease to function thou.

I wouldn't consider it a serious off road rig,,, maybe a capable one. It comes with open differentials, a severely outdated suspension and steering arrangement. It would be nice with doors and a roof. A heater would be good for colder climates. However, all these things can be added easily but then your end price would be outrageous for what it is. For light duty work around a farm/ranch I'm sure its quite capable the way it stands. There is just so much that can be improved upon or added to.

You're right, I've watched the early owners and they are all spending a lot of money just to make it a reasonable vehicle, so it would probably cost double the original price to make it good.

Dump the speed limiter and Im in. Its easy to make street legal in Arizona and most, if not all states.

@@Winterstick549 good to see aftermarket companies offering different solutions. Mahindra themselves modify their cars both mechanically and cosmetically. You can also look into the Eaton mechanical locking differential which is used in India and is installed by Mahindra themselves after purchase of car for the Thar and the Scorpio. The MLD is the last missing piece in this.

Durable? It's only arrived in North America a few months ago so it will be years before we really know if its durable and before all of its flaws show up.

I want one but they’re overpriced. Need to be starting at 10k. They’d outsell everything take my word. Manual at 10 and automatic at 12k.

Big car companies hate this shit.Simplicity and economy and easy to repair.There already complaining to the bearucrats right now,guaranteed.I bet you could make this legal in short order,but E-standards?
