It's funny looking at those old timers the little yellow fella and the the grey Fergie and how normal they all looked and the size of the present day ones which has changed our point of view of normal, as my mind was projected back to the late sixties early seventies traveling on the Cornish Riviera train from Paddington to Torquay starting our holidays and seeing either a Nuffield 465 or MF 135 working in a field it was the epitome of happy days.👌

The grey Fergie has a manless bale lifter/sack loading device, you drive up to the bale and grab it then the whole arm rotates back to your trailer behind where the springs release the bale/sack on to the trailer to a person waiting to stack it! A great vintage display there 🙂

Love the farm shows. Still do now despite not farming since the early eighties. The conversation with the young bloke and the Dexter. We had the same tractor on the yard scraper. Didn't look like that. Regarding driving early. I learnt to drive very young. First steering sitting on someone's lap. Then as I shot up in height and could reach the pedals I was off. We had a Morris minor van. Drove it all over the place. Then tractors and trailers. Learnt to back a trailer. Use farm implements. Got to 16. Road licence. Running bale trailers. And even driving a small Class combine. Got to 17. Time for a car licence. I've got this no worries. No lessons needed. Been driving for years. One year on the road. Legally. Grabbed Mum's Mini. Drove around what I thought was pretty sweet, with the examiner. And got a big lecture about driving without due care and attention. Failed. I was gutted. Back 3 months later having read up what I was supposed to do. Passed. Now spent the last 40 odd years driving without due care and attention. It has worked for me.

Wonderful . Thank you both for the your on tractors . Harry know his stuff along with dad . Dale farm gave a tour in one of her father's tractors of old . It was before he died it was wonderful you mite like it . I love tractors mor than cars . I think there more use full . Saw Irish farmers unblock a river dam with there tractors . Thank you .

I have a milkman we still have foil lids but they not a patch on how they used to be half the time they are too loose and you rarely get the cream on top either. 😉

You never forget the sound, smell and feel. 🇨🇦 My late brother used to restore David Browns and he also restored an old tractor used for towing planes about on the tarmac during the war. It was quite the big machine.

Spent bloody hours in a winsam cab, bloody draughty cabs no matter what make so you can imagine how I felt when l got my first Ford 7600 with the Q cab, absolute heaven🙂

You need to get an old tractor for your boys and you to restore. It's great fun, I remember fixing an old H Farmall with my grandpa. The memories are priceless now.

You'll struggle to find the machinery section at the Bath and West. I went one year and there were only five tractors in the vintage section and no new ones at all. Sadly, it’s now turned into a vintage rally with animals. Royal Cornwall if you want a proper agricultural show.

I still get my milk delivered in glass bottles by the local milkman. Still have the foil tops broken, but whether it is the cats or the blue tits I don't know!
