The Royal Wedding Ceremony of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Sofia Hellqvist.
Sofia walks down the aisle with Athair Ar Neamh.
Salem Al Fakir and David Pagmar sang at the ceremony.
The bride wore a white dress by designer Ida Sjöstedt, which featured a train embellished with couture lace.She accessorised with a diamond and emerald tiara that was a gift from her future parents-in-law, as well as a thin tulle veil.
As is traditional for Swedish royal brides, she carried a bouquet of myrtle, which was from the grounds of Sofiero Castle, as well as roses.

I never expected a Swedish royal wedding is that simple. Wedding entourage is composed only of 3 flower girls and a bridesmaid. No wedding godparents/sponsors? No “kiss the bride” after the ceremony? No signing of marriage contract? No picture taking with parents, relatives, close friends? And lastly, the newly weds’ carriage has no flower decorations. I’m amazed watching this very very simple royal wedding ceremony. Yes it’s simple but so elegant and solemn.

Les photos avec les parents et les proches ce font toujours en privé. C'est après que certaines d'entre elles seront vu par le public. Ils ont leur propre manière pour la signature du contrat de mariage. On ne sait pas à quel moment qu'il est signé mais il y en a un. Les royautés des pays scandinaves sont simples. Ils sont aussi très proches de leur presse qui ne sont pas elles-mêmes des vautours comme d'autres presses des pays ayant une monarchie.

This is a more private and therefore personally designed royal wedding as Prince Carl Philip is not the heir to the throne. When Crown Princess Victoria got married, it was bigger, more strict to protocol, more "official" guests (royalty, politicians, other representatives, etc.). At this princewedding, there were only family and friends. The prince couple were generous when they also invited us TV viewers to the party after. Ex his younger sister Princess Madeleine was even more private as her wedding party was completely private.
