I bought this CD when I lived in Prague in the 90s and lost it along the way. I am so delighted to have found you, my dear old friend. Supraphon Records is an excellent label highlighting performances from talented Czech artists. The Czechs are well known for their musicianship and love of music.

A healing music to a wounded and broken heart.I love Mannerism and Mediaeval songs : so simple and joyous....make me smile and laugh again.

Zní to dobře. Poslouchám a vzpomínám na spolupráci s Mir. Venhodou, (s Madrigalisty) dávno tomu, dávno.

When the world crumbles, when the structures of a civilization falter, it is good to return to that which in history does not flex, but on the contrary recovers courage, gathers the separated, pacifies without bruising. It’s worth recalling that the genius of creation is also moving in an history devoted to the destruction

Excelentní Rožmberská kapela! Její LP jsem s nadšením poslouchal již v svém raném mládí (80. léta minulého století). Děkuji.

Now, I’m not a learned individual when it comes to music, but it’s amazing how you can hear basically the first steps towards Baroque. Obviously there are some instruments here which we won’t hear a century or so later, but the melodies are quite close already. Especially the violins in the “French Royal Court” section, or at the beginning of “Three Dances.” “Trink Ich Wein” just sounds like an Adagio piece already. Honestly I would just call Baroque a grown up version of this now that I’ve heard it. Excellent upload, thanks a lot!
