When I played in the junior leagues we got docked points because we played a player from our third team who wasn’t registered as part of our match squad, despite the mitigation that 5 other props were unavailable and that the player in question was 43 and had played at the club 20 years . Those rules were applied rigidly and the game awarded to our opponents . That is what should happen to saracens any game played where saracens we’re breaking league rules should be null and void .

Echoes of Glasgow Rangers and Scottish football. They cheated the system, the tax man and SDcottish football for over a decade and yet the football authorities have let them retain the trophies they won spending money they didn't have. That sort of cheating undermines the integrity of sport.

So, we continue to have a salary cap and France does not, which is why so many South African and other international players ply their trade there. We also ban our players from the national squad if they decide to maximise income from a short career by playing there, with a risk in the game of serious injury at any time. Nigel Wray, so it appears, has sought a creative way to give players a stake in their financial future through involvement and investment in property? Let's be honest Saracens , I'm sure, are not the only team that are doing this. I suspect that Exeter and Wasps will be caught in a few weeks time. But hey, i could be wrong.

Why do they say it isn't the players? Do people really think the players are so stupid, they aren't aware they shouldn't be accept investments of 100s of thousands into their businesses from club owners. The owners know there cheating, the players know there cheating.
