in todays video we're going to explore the 100 rules of black metal. and these are rules and laws that you need to adhere to if you're a true black metal fan. well, these are not to be taken fully seriously but there are some underlaying truths to these stereotypes. I think that these 100 rules portrays some of the characteristics, mannerisms, ideas and attributes that are associated with the Black Metal genre. So let's have some fun!

@@arturoalmazan5262 No, he's on point. Although you could go back to Venom, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, I think BM really originates with Darkthrone, Immortal and Emperor. Obviously you can add Mayhem, but I've never been a fan and Pure Holocaust stands as an example of Mayhem's sound anyway. Saying Mercyful Fate is core BM is like saying Motorhead is core BM.

A few more "rules". 1. Hate black metal (Varg said that he hated this "Black Metal" scene) 2. Write lyrics in rare languages. The rarest, the kultest. English is NOT kult! 3. Replace "c" with "k". 4. Play music without any knowledge about music. 5. Don't tell to anybody that you like black metal. 6. Read Nietzsche. 7. Learn to play chess, in order to sacrifice your bishops! 8. Play chess only with black pieces. 9. Drink only black coffee. 10. Ignore all rules.

I also noticed number 66 (Be a Blasphemer) as 666 - very cool. Only one note of criticism if I may - (my personal Rule # 101) Pronounce Aleister Crowley's last name the way he intended and preferred - to rhyme with Holy - not like the way Ozzy Osbourne did in his very famous song -"about" A.C. - IE To Mega Therion And so you know - that info about the pronunciation is coming from a true LHPer and student of Crowley and Thelema - ....fyi.
