@@howardlanus8467 I mean, to be fair, had Grisha not taken the Founder Titan when he did, Marley's plan to secure it probably would have worked. It was shackled by that f*cking king's cowardice to the point of near-uselessness, and the Warriors' idea to breach the walls to both cover their entrance and collapse the society of the 'Island Devils' was sound enough to work. They had no way of knowing he'd already sunk that plan before they even launched it, but still, without his actions the Attack Titan wouldn't have even been in play during the attack on Trost. Hell, if they had a more detailed system of punishment for Eldian 'criminals' instead of just turning them into Titans and unleashing them on Paradis, they might not have doomed themselves.
@howardlanus84679 ай бұрын
@@palladin1337Yeah the First King was a useless coward. Their plan to "punish" Eldian criminals was heavily flawed. But then there's the fact that the Attack Titan can receive memories from future Titan Shifters and that Eren was manipulating events from said future throws a LOT out of whack. The Founding Titan did not know the Attack Titan could do that, as Frieda showed in Grisha's memories. So this really begs the question: was the Rumbling inevitable? This makes me hate Marley even more. They were told on no uncertain terms that this exact thing was going to happen if they ever came to Paradis, that the entire world would follow them to the grave. Yet because they were going to lose their military stranglehold over the rest of the world, which they didn't even earn in the first place, they not only went there they spat in the face of the one that almost literally held the life of everyone on earth in their hands(Nevermind that the first King was an absolutely useless coward, Marley didn't know that). Needless to say watching the Rumbling trample Marley and have them get what was quite literally coming to them was oh so satisfying... but then the Rumbling just kept going because it couldn't and wouldn't stop, and every bit of satisfaction turned to horror. I also loved AoT but there is a big flaw in the idea of the Rumbling. As the titans move away from Paradis in circular manner like a wave from a single point to trample the world they become more spread out. Every mile they would get more space between themselves so they wouldnt be a wall of marching death. A few dozen miles away from paradis there would be miles between every single giant titan already. The rumbling would not be able to be a thread like it showed in the anime. Eren could concentrate the titans however he pleased of course. For example target the big populated areas but then other areas would be even less affected. The number of 80% of the world trampled like the show claimed should be total bs.^^

@funkguylorz73157 ай бұрын
It’s hard to comprehend exactly how it went down, especially since in the story there’s supposedly “tens of millions” of colossal titans making up the walls. If there truly was tens of millions, then even spread out more I could absolutely see it being a solid wall of destruction. And even then, I’m not sure if the 80% was actually referring to “the entirety of earth” or if it was actually just 80% of “the known world.”
@rydermccall35904 ай бұрын
Going by the idea that there were tens of millions and a circumference of 25,000 miles (Assuming AoT Earth is the same as our Earth), that would be 400 titans per mile. A wall titan width is 12.5 meters so if only 10,000,000 titans there would be 128 titans for every mile in the circumference. 128 titans would make up every mile of the circumference and every titan would have two more behind them and that would be at maximum.
