It’s embarrassing and disappointing that Kemi could not speak Yoruba. Well, it’s not late if she can learn to speak Korean which is not native. Kemi is one of our STAR. Please do your best to promote your our HERITAGE

She IS speaking FLUENT Yoruba. Why do some think it’s cool not to speak their language when China, Japan, France, Spain etc address the GLOBE, including the United Nations in their native language? I raised my 🇺🇸children here and they can grasp Yoruba with their all-American upbringing and accent. They are now adults and can make out Yoruba names, words and really want to learn Yoruba etc. She just said it but she SPOKE Yoruba. Besides her English is with perfect Yoruba/Nigerian accent. Yoruba is easier to learn for someone who grew up and has spent all her life in Yorubaland than the Korean she thinks she knows how to speak from watching movies. Go and visit South Korea, you will realize you are not speaking Korean fluently. Be proud of Yoruba language. I grew up in Yorubaland and have lived almost three decades in the 🇺🇸My Yoruba is still flawless and I’m so proud of Yoruba culture and language. She seems like a nice young lady. The hostess too needs to stick to Yoruba and fine anyone who mixes it. Good-luck in your career Kemi, you have good values in a world that has lost its bearing.

It's because you're intentional about that. It's a shame that many parents don't even value their indigenous language.

Yet, there are Igbos, Edos and others in the same Lagos that speak and write Yorùbá fluently. Shame on any Yorùbá who is unable to speak her language.

Was wondering why it is a big deal? A lot of the GenZs can’t speak the language o. They tell you they can hear but can’t respond in Yoruba. Have one I met recently that grew up in Ekiti and only came to Unilag for degree o, when you speak to him in yoruba , he responds in English. So it is not peculiar to her o. They should leave her o.

olorun o, may God restore back our Language o, when a yoruba person can not speak yoruba well hmmmm it is well o she is from Ondo and she can not speak yoruba well o ga o, she learn Korean and she can say it that she can not speak Yoruba and she is a yoruba girl its beter she learn Yoruba too
@kemilolafadeyi54836 ай бұрын
Yo listen to her responding in English after been asked in Yoruba a question . This really sends a wrong message . She needs to brush up her Yoruba Language . Be so proud of your heritage and culture . If you love to speak Korean to prepare a role in a movie ? What message did that send ? No Korean will learn Yoruba language . Period 😅😅😊😊😊

Wow . She cant speak yoruba. Is she forming for us or she thinks its a flex??????! Im trying very hard not to give her a side eye. But please this sounds like inferiority complex. Im American and yet I still rap yoruba with my family because im determined not forget the language. Then one person would now be using korean/Hanju to yan gan for us? Even my korean friends respect me because I dont send them when I speak my language on the phone with my mum when we go out for the lunch they are so desperate to pay for because I know my own value and worth. Nawa oooo.

Stop blaming her joor!Don’t you see that the anchor is asking her questions in English? Her generation may not be very fluent in Yoruba language.Deep Yoruba language can be difficult,also impeccable English,hence they need constant practice.
@followGreatness6 ай бұрын
@Prettiest-tripple-3Bs Sorry ooo I'm of her generation, that's why I'm trying my best not to give her the side eye ooo. Here I am fighting to make sure I don't forget the language that's native to me and there she is saying she is not good at it. Ok ooo. Like I said my Korean freinds are fighting and desperate to keep me in their circle because they know I don't send any bodies daddy with my language and culture . I'm watching this shoe simply because I'm with the whithest of the palest being on earth due to education reserach and work. Loving me for my Jorge. Desperate to touch the richness of my clothes amd culture I bought with me from Niger cos Anyways. May God bless us, ooo. you won't realise how blessed you are until you leave the shores of Nigeria. Culture and language - we are 10/10. We are now brilliant on top so much so that we are very successful in what we do abroad. We are can't be defeated. At least I am and making my mama proud. Learn ooo.
