One of the cool things I am liking about the CoA classes is the way the team managed to give each class their own class resource bar like they do in FF14.

Wow, the first class I definitly have to say "not my cup of tea" but it looks so cool and I am really glad that there are these kind of classes but not just these classes. Having both simple, more casual friendly classes/speccs and these high skill classes/speccs sounds so much fun and the recipe for a diverse playerbase.

The moment you said "Rogue-like" I immediately knew I was going to play the melee Runemaster. Thanks McDoubles.

Riftblade is my passion. SO HARD to play, but GOD I LIKE IT. I also really like that in PvP it is EVEN MORE DIFFICULT. I am a believer that the more difficult a class is, the stronger it should be. I hope the developers won't nerf it (the only exception being if players find an easy way to play it - "just spam one button build" (fire blade spam for example)). TY for all of that u do.

O hell yeah this is the one I've been waiting for! I've always loved the concept and identity of a spellblade in WoW, but only way i've really been able to get that is either Enhancement Shaman or Frost Death Knight - which both have their conceptual issues with the idea. Riftblade, though, is probably the perfect implementation of such a concept, and I'm honestly super happy with how it plays. There was a time a while back where the rotation felt kinda crappy, but the new design has made it feel SO much better. Also, regarding "it's hard to pick up", well; Invoker was my main in Dota 2, so Riftblade fits like a glove on me, haha. I've been leveling as a Spellslinger as well since the 60 alpha announcement, and it's such a smooth caster spec that doesn't feel too much like a blizzlike mage. Y'all really nailed it with this class.

I'm always amaze by the fact that it appears you put more work, effort and passion in CoA than Blizzard does in recent WoW extensions.

I loved playing this class into both Slinger and Conjuration. I can’t wait until I can use the Familiar without holding back (due to not getting loot/exp kill credit unless I direct damage something). Nobody is safe when it gets fixed 😂 Runeblade was hard at first but once you start throwing it together piece by piece leveling, it’s so much fun!

About 2 years ago my brothers and I got heavily into COA. I'm excited to jump back in and I'm loving this content by the way! I mained Runeblade because I love the class fantasy. But to REALLY make this spec work, I had to make some weak auras to tell me what elements I built up, and what elemental buff was active as it constantly cycles. (Side note: this class was bugged and couldn't train epic riding for forever which was frustratingly funny) As the game patched it broke my weak auras and I never rly felt like setting it back up. Im a wee bit bummed to see the Runeblade spec was for the most part left alone and just considered to be hard to play. When I think with the right UI changes, this spec would be more digestible. While I do plan to jump back in to COA when I can, I do have kids now and wont have the same amount of time to dedicate. I fear that I'll probably be passing on this spec this time around, which may be fine if its just not for me. That said, I ask you and the team, that at a minimum PLEASE add a UI element that indicates what elemental buff is in rotation! (I had a little half-circle next to my character)

I was really struggling with a class choice for a moment there, but now I know I'm going to first-pick that Runemaster pet spec.

I really think this class bring almost none fantasy in terms of warcraft lore, I do think the OG Rune master from the RPG books fist fighting would be really cool, at least as a spec. This rune blade spec is totally flavorless, but I never was a truly "rogue like class" enjoyer, so u can take this comments with a grain of salt, all my critics intend to be constructive. Overall a really want to play CoA, is an awesome project n Im looking fawrd for what u guys r cooking. Maybe if the project prove it self to be a great success we might have new classes bringing more Warcraft Fantasy. Like mortar team as a tinker spec or some king of real Druid witch Im realy miss. Overall, great video McDoubles, as usual.

I thought that the Runemaster was a ranged caster class that Blizzard was working on for the original classic release but scrapped and ended up baking into the DK's abilities rather than the non-canon runemaster that you mentioned. I would imagine that they had the runemaster in mind as close to mages in their fantasy but playing a more supportive role such as a shaman. Based on the footage I have seen which you can probably find on KZfaq, I imagined that it would set traps like survival hunter abilities as well. This seems more rooted in the runic magic you see races who harness the arcane like elves use rather than the more shamanistic undertones you seemed to be going off of early on in the video Not to be negative at all, but don't you think a rogue-mage class archetype (Like Lillian Voss) would be a better idea for a class in itself rather than baking it into a caster class? I think you reached the same issue of class identity with the runemaster that Blizz did which caused them to bake the runemaster concept into the DK because of the lack of direction behind a caster using runes. Very interesting class concept though!

Looks great, and the Conjuration spec looks really fun to play but lore wise I would have preferred the runemaster being a little more faithful to the lore, or maybe being a specialization of the monk 🤔 Maybe in the future adding a fist weapon/unarmed spec would be nice And maybe a little easier for people who likes the fantasy but don't want the burden of learning high skill ceiling specs

Riftblade looks promising. Only played a few other classes, but the ability bloat is real. Too many abilities, too much overlap. I don't need 3 different AOEs on 10 second CDs filling up my bars. But Fire, Frost, Arcane, Spend? 4 Abilities that can do 9 different things? Good complex design.

Iv played most classes in WoW, and Runemaster melee build is the most advance sh*t iv ever played. really fun tho

Maybe it's just me but the Rune graphic really bugs me. I know it's supposed to be like a seal for the scroll in the middle but it just makes it look like there are 5 runes available instead of 4. Having them split up like that really bugs me to no end, otherwise cool class.

@Mcdoubles please remove all of the Tinker spell reagents. They feel terrible and Copper Bolts are currently 10g each because they are req for Minelayer Bot. PLEASE just get rid of needing reagents it feels bad when I level up, get a new skill, and then can't even use it or even afford to buy the reagents to use the spells regularly

Sigh....first Inspiration Guardian, now Riftblade. My two favorite classes, both now flavorless compared to how they used to be.

Riftblade...basically 5 minutes of you telling us how hard it is to play...but not actually explaining it mechanically.

Wants to do these videos in 15mins, should realistically spend roughly the same amount of time on all 3 specs. For example you spent roughly 8.5mins on just the Riftblade, and barely touched on conjuration at all. These also seem to be informative videos and you should really keep your biased out of them in these types of videos. I dont think you understand what your biasedness is going to cause when CoA opens up to so many more people and they come to your videos to seek info on the classes.

no point in playing this class hands down.... the only pvp you will find on the server is ocasional BG where you will be absolutely and utterly molested by Piety Sun Clerics. you will get revealed and literally melted in 0,5 seconds by Horusath-Sun Ray-Horusath combo which has no GCD/cast time.... Oh, ye and good luck with bursts in PvP.... for some reason, highest dmg Runestones paired with Convergence+Power Engraving still can't do more then 500dmg to players, and that is if you crit LOL :D Full PvP gear with spellpower by the way haha. Really digging the class idea, but requires severe balancing.
