Hello my dear friends, here's the first video about the runes. In this video I will transmit (in short) the basic meaning of the rune Fehu, the mythology connected to it, its upright and inverted meaning for divination purposes, combining it with other runes and the gods associated with this rune. Through the years I have lost much in a material, spiritual and emotional sense. I wear Fehu as a patch and pendant to remind me of that which I still have; family, friends, my cat, a job, music and the accident of birth in the West of Europe.

I've found the Runes live. They adapt readily to our times. Without losing essence or meaning, they come to us in contexts we relate too. Too much focus on past ritual and procedure is not necessary. Understanding them is the primary objective. They'll provide answers, in natural ways, and build a relationship with us, the more we learn. Knowledge may be power, but the reason for power, most of the time, is freedom. Freedom in structure.

Interesting. I see lots of similarities with the “cosmic cow” Kamadhenu from Vedic mythology. I also see a similarity between Fehu and the Sanskrit word “Pashu” for cow/cattle. (Pashu -> Pahu -> Fehu?) Thanks for sharing.

Following Jean Vertemont's book, in French "Runes et chamanisme" /runes and shamanism, there are (at least he drew lots of them) many parallels as well as common concepts and linguistic proximities to be found between vedic and runic concepts. I hope the book is translated in English already. Although sometimes very complex and fruit of intensive knowledge and research, it is still easy to grasp, I would say. But I am curious about other authors or researchers opinion and conclusions about the question...

Too small of a category to fit one rune into. Study the Futhark as a complete language system and not pulling away meaning into offensive slang used for describing ingrates. Mixing cultures is only ok when the meaning doesn't remain crossed over into the other as though it becomes a toy and the power of the rune ignored (turned upside down/inverted)

It’s incredible how some of the runes are visible in modern Scandinavian languages. In Denmark, the treasures you can find dating from around year 800 we call “daneFÆ” clearly out of fehu.

Lately I was compelled to chopped a gaint branch of my 25 year old Ash tree so I did.And got one fehu rune from it. So I hung it in the centre of my house above the attic.i also got 8 Algiz runes from my Ash and hung them above my windows.i collected the Ash leaves and bark to powder and store in Mason jars.the branches will dry now for two years.i believe it was a sign.I've just got my own house and custody of my son. I'm slowly learning how to create a life for myself.thank you 🙏🍻

About a year ago my dog gave me a stick in the exact shape of this rune. This video has definitely helped me understand this rune better. It hangs on my wall today

Cheers. I had not considered that. I knew the aspect of "wealth" and as such found it of little interest. Though I had a feeling there was more to it than that. As "nourishment" through action, leading to luck with in the concept of harmingja, that makes a great deal more sense to me. Thank you.

Wonderful video! I really appreciate the extra information you add for the rune. I think it will help make better connections for my memory. I am pretty new in general to the Norse/Viking paganism and concepts. Thank you so much for your videos! I'm looking forward to the journey through the rest of the runes and Norse paganism! I do have one question... In my studies, I have come across the idea that reversed rune meanings are a more modern concept and can be discarded or read as if that rune had appeared right side up. What are your thoughts? Has your research suggested similar or otherwise?

Great video! Loved how you gave a full view of the runes, the gods and the usages - very helpful as I am just learning. In your video, when you showed Fehu inverted, I suddenly saw a shape like a barricade. I think this will help me remember at least the aspect where it represents blockages, lack of control, or a need for retreat for a time. Would that be accurate of Fehu reversed, as well as loss, etc? If so, it will be a good way for me to remember part of it :)

yes yes that is correct, it is indeed a blockage. I've tried to make this video in a way people would absorb the basic meanings and easily keep them in mind. I don't want to give a complext view on the runes because people will soon get bored, but also I don't want it to be shallow, if you take my meaning. I was afraid to disappoint people with this video, so I'm really happy to read your feedback and know you liked it :D thank you so much!

Fehu is the rune I wear around my neck. I carved it in stone. would bone be better? Would the materials affect the charm, or is it the symbol only, that matters?
