This table arrived well packaged and on time. kzfaq.infoUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!

It is an awesome one of a kind guide for learning the trick to build great sheds and master woodworking without the normal expense. I just finished making the country kitchen table and bench! My wife loves them! I'm going to male a second bench but the next one will be short enough that we can slide it under the table. I love this coffee table idea since we recently got a new sectional,but we also got an ottoman with the sectional. I don't think the wife will part with the ottoman.lolI think I'm going to use the bench plans but make the legs quite a bit longer and use it as a table that will go behind the sectional to set drinks and such on. Great videos guys!

FYI, the 2x4 pieces are suppose to be 28" long, not 26" if you want to be flush. I didn't realize this until I made the table lastnight and followed dimensions provided. I had to take it apart and make the neccessary cuts on the 2x4s to make it flush. Table looks great by the way.
@TheRehabLife
@TheRehabLife 5 жыл бұрын
Glad the table looks great! With the dimensions we provide, the table will be flush. The actual width of a 2x2 is 1.5" and the actual width of a 1x8 is 7.25". The 26" length of the 2x4s in combination with two 2x2s on either end (which will add 3" of width) the total width of the framework will be 29", which will be the same width of four 1x8s put together. Hope this helps!

When you mark multiple lines on the board without cutting them first, do you account for the kerf of the blade?

Love the design and simple to follow video. However, I would consider disclaiming two things worth mentioning to new woodworkers: 1. Joining to end grain is not preferred and 2. attaching the tops directly to the legs and supports will result in large splitting/cracks with any wood movement, which will occur in your larger boards.

@goodgoat6019
@goodgoat6019 7 жыл бұрын
I thought exactly the same thing. It would look better with the casters somewhat hidden and as long as they were large enough to keep the wood off of the floor.
@2ndAveScents
@2ndAveScents 7 жыл бұрын
good goat Yes, and since it's going on a rug maybe the casters are useless for anything other than stubbing your toe on, or perhaps letting you snuggle up to the edge of the table with your feet going underneath. I think it might look nicer flat on the rug, but perhaps there's another reason for getting it up off the rug? To make it easier to move for cleaning? To keep it from leaving a nice white square in the middle of the rug? Lol idk, so many thoughts for such a simple thing haha. Let's build it goat and give it a try!

Walmart has a hart work table that folds down to almost nothing and comes with 2 clamps it’s $60 it would Fit under your bed or in the closet, others make them Also it’s just cheaper at Walmart. I use to do everything on the floor trust me you want a table with even basic clamps if you want to get into making these things. Not to mention Midor saws aren’t made for this and don’t support boards well
