The Way of the Samurai is found in death. Meditation on inevitable death should be performed daily. Every day when one's body and mind are at peace, one should meditate upon being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears, and swords. Being carried away by surging waves. Being thrown into the midst of a great fire. Being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake. Falling from thousand-foot cliffs, dying of disease, or committing seppuku at the death of one's master. And every day, without fail, one should consider himself as dead. This is the substance of the Way of the Samurai.

During my college times (when cinema tickets were still affordable) I used to go three or four times a month, so from time to time the movie I wanted was sold out and thought "well, I'm already here so let's pick any other else". That made me found some true gems I would have never watched otherwise and Ghost Dog was one of them. A handfull of nerds in the dark watching Forest drive through the night a stolen car with this music blasting the stereo. Mesmerising.

I was a little ghetto raised half Puerto Rican white boy raised in a constant state of drugs, sex and turmoil. This movie really changed my life, from the first ost i ever loved, let alone figured out what a ost was at the time. Seeing ghost go through a code and living how he did just made me so obsessed with samurai, bushido and suppressors lmao. This movie genuinely changed my thinking process and how I viewed things in life. I hold loyalty and respect higher than anything. I view life and nature so weird.

Iin the late 90s/early 00s, I was getting into cool hitman movies and saw a Terrance Stamp one- 'The Limey'. I watched this one, a Forrest Whitaker gem 'Ghost Dog'-Way of the Sumarai. Instantly loved that Wu was doing the score. It set the movie off into a cult classic. 'Cakes by Kool G is one of the funkiest tracks I've heard. It's not one here, but oh well, I've lost/sold all of my CDs, I miss having this one! The loops on here foreshadow RZA's Bobby Digital foray(those CDs were the bomb ) Thanks for the upload!, 'Cuz.

so good - this was hard to get back in the day, I think it was only released in Japan? There was a pretty horrible album he did that featured the beats but with singers/rappers on. Wish Havoc had done soundtracks when he was in his prime.

Man, i have been searching this forever. This is either the US or Japan version because in Europe the released onyl a version with raps. It where the same instrumentals as in the movie but with raps from Wu affilliates like Killarmy and Sunz Of Men if i remember correctly.
