Love watching your videos. Feels like a visit with old friends. Funny I was working on my flower garden quilt as I watched, I just hand stitch hexes together old fashion way but really like the way yours looks. My church quilting group plans to quilt this one for church auction next year. I am getting close to finishing top. I find hand piecing so relaxing.

Hello - enjoying your floss tube. Linnie - I understand! I had taken care of my cataracts about 2 years ago and wow what a difference. I can see so clearly now and doing 40 ct, 36 ct is more comfortable though. As soon as you are ready, you won’t regret it! (The only problem is you may even want to do over pieces because you will see much better - I knew I was having hard time stitching before but now - WOW!). Wish you luck on this. Roberta - I retired 2 years ago and had a hard time retiring because I liked to work but.... now I enjoy the day and do as much stitching as I want! and loving it! Love your floss tube and you both are inspiration. Thank you. Monica from Florida

Roberta, I live in the Willamette Valley and the correct pronunciation is Will- lamb- et. I think the winery story you told was about a man who was a childhood friend & neighbor of mine. We grew up in Lodi, CA. As a child I lived in a house owned by his grandparents. It was located in the families grape vineyard. Steve & his sister lived just down the road from us.

Thank you for sharing your projects, all beautiful. Happy Stitchin' from Essex 🇨🇦

I had so much fun with you ladies today! Roberta, I’m so sorry that you’ve been visited by the frog on your projects! I agree that when you spend so much time to do a project, it doesn’t take that long in the grand scheme of things to frog and re-stitch. I am working on Oh Joyous Day and had to frog out the over one when I tried to stitch in May instead of June. I was done with the an and y, and started to put in my M, found it would not fit and was running into the letter E. Frogging over 1 isn’t much fun! Anyway, your stitching is aways gorgeous! Linnie, your PS Santas are darling and will make such a beautiful quilt! Your EPP of grandmother’s garden is gorgeous!! Best wishes to Mason as he prepares for going away to college! Do you really think he will ever use the Dustbuster?? LOL!

Enjoyed the video as usual. Lennie, your hexagon quilt is so pretty. Years ago I saw a quilt at the Houston Quilt Show made with the hexies and I got all gung ho and bought all the stuff. I didn't get very far. Lol. But I did see the box the other day in my sewing room so you have inspired me to go pull it out and see if I can at least make a modified version of the quilt I saw. Happy stitching ladies.

Another entertaining day watching you both. Linnie, those red specs are SO you, both in color and shape and of course, it is your personality that makes it so right. A question to you both: do you stitch in hand, on a hoop or q-snap or on a stand? Roberta, how do you wrangle all of the fabric in your samplers? I hope the beastly weather there abates and the snakes and bunnies find new places to dwell.
@linnieisenburg520Күн бұрын
Hi Davi. Thank you for watching and your kind comments as always. I love my red glasses. I kind of feel sassier in them if that’s possible. Haha. I am always a hoop stitcher. It’s easier on my arthritis than stitching in hand but even if I did stitch in hand I prefer the look of the stitches when I’m in a hoop. We had a little breather with our temp today but I think the humidity is higher than the temp. Oh well it is July and I can swim or stay cool inside. Have a great Sunday and happy stitching ❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤

Roberta, I feel your pain regarding “miss” counting leaves on a border and missing an entire section of a house! After finishing Hannah Elliott earlier this year, I noticed I made a mistake in the border…thought I could just let it be but, it’s too noticeable for me. So, I’ll be spending my time frogging and redoing the border! Linnie, that quilt is amazing! I’ve never quilted - but that looks a bit difficult - or maybe I don’t have patience! Thank you both for taking the time to do this flosstube - always good to watch you!

Sorry for the misspelling. My question is - when you use floss drops, how do you then return your DMC floss for storage?
@linnieisenburg5205 сағат бұрын
Hi Christine. I always keep my floss on the brown tags I get on Amazon. If I use a new drop I will return it back to the brown drops so if I use the same color for another project they might be different. I don’t mind a different floss drop I just like a similar size. I hope that makes sense. If not I will cover it on our next video. Thank you for the question. We love questions. Happy fourth and happy stitching ❤😊

Always enjoy you ladies! Roberta, keeping the garden going in this heat is a consuming job. Linnie your penny pillow piece is wonderful! But your Grandmother’s Flower Garden - is gorgeous! My mother made one for me as a wedding gift, some 44 years ago. Funny, she was probably stitching on it when I was in KC for a year of school and got married at the end of that summer. That is a real treasure! So I have a couple of questions. When you take your stitches out do you pick them out so you can reuse the floss or do you snip the floss off? And when you (or any of you viewers) use floss stops how do you then store your Dmc? Happy 4th all, 🇺🇸🗽🍉
@linnieisenburg5202 күн бұрын
Thank you Christine. Your mother’s quilt has to be a real treasure. What an awesome heirloom. To answer your question , when I frog I try to save thread if is a variegated thread but it depends on the count. If it’s on 28 it’s not too bad but if it’s on say 36. I usually lose the floss and have to snip. Thread will only take so many times of going in and out to d fabric. I’m not sure what a floss stop is. You have me on that one. I’m not sure about Roberta. She works on a higher count. I have to ask. What is a floss stop? Thank you for sharing and your kind comments. Happy July 4th ❤😊
