Batu caves Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Today, we are in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. We are going to explore Batu caves. Batu Caves are famous caves in Kuala Lumpur that many travelers and visitors like to see when coming to Malaysia. Batu Caves are Sacred sight for Hindus. If you come to Kuala Lumpur, You most see Batu caves, these are really beautifuk caves and top things to do in Kuala Lumpur
What is Batu Caves
Batu Caves (Tamil: பத்து மலை : Pathumalai) is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia. It takes its name from the Malay word batu, meaning 'rock'. The hill was originally known as Kapal Tanggang from the legend of Si Tanggang.
The town nearby is named after the Batu Caves limestone formation.
The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, and is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is the focal point of the Tamil festival of Thaipusam in Malaysia.
Batu Caves in short also referred as 10th Caves or Hill for Lord Murugan as there are six important holy shrines in India and four more in Malaysia. The three others in Malaysia are Kallumalai Temple in Ipoh, Tanneermalai Temple in Penang and Sannasimalai Temple in Malacca.
Malaysia
Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo. It's known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers.
Kula Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. Its modern skyline is dominated by the 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers, a pair of glass-and-steel-clad skyscrapers with Islamic motifs. The towers also offer a public skybridge and observation deck. The city is also home to British colonial-era landmarks such as the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building

Please don't be offended, but I really don't like Muslims visit a Hindu shrine n temple. U see a big statue, that's one Hindu god, around n inside d cave, r many more Hindu gods. Your time is better spent around d mosques in KL, well, that's just my opinion. It's your prerogative. Having said that, I made few mistakes visiting Hindus ancient places in India n it's no use regretting it, I can only seek forgiveness from Allah swt. May He forgives me, as He is always, all forgiving.

No problem, I'm not offended. i heard the caves were cool and I like to see the design of the temple 😃

@@TravelingSoloLogs Alright. If u really want to see d incredible designs of Hindu temples, esp d ancient temples, then India is d country. D Hindu temples u saw in Batu Caves r originated from Tamil Nadu. There r many more beautiful designs of temples worshipped by d Hindus in India. Many of them r UNESCO world heritage sites. I've visited few of them, like d architecture, but I felt regret as I felt it contributed to my depression. I pray that Allah swt forgive my silly mistakes n partly negligence, not really ignorant. 😁

Hi some vital info about Lord Murugan. An ancient Tamil God. Ancient as said in Toolkapiam literature the Lords original name is Lord Seeyon son of Mother goddess Kotravai. People came and adapted the Tamil God and conferred other name as Lord Subramanian which means the light of the south. Mother Kotravai also given names as goddess Durga. Thank you

No coughing? 02:17 No, the sign means no spitting on the steps of the temple for its holiness and also for health and safety purposes that someone could slip and fall. Can you imagine someone falling from the stairs rolling down, that could be fatal, right?
@TravelingSoloLogs
@TravelingSoloLogs Жыл бұрын
I wasn't sure what that sign meant, that would be horrible to fall down

FYI, Batu Caves is actually located in Gombak, Selangor but since it's located very close to the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur border (the capital of Malaysia was used to be the state capital of Selangor before it became a Federal Territory on February 1, 1974; the state government of Selangor has relocated to Shah Alam since 1978), it can be part of Kuala Lumpur as well!

If I'm not mistaken, once apon a time, on my first visit to 🇲🇾, there used to be a steep vertical train on the left side of the stairs, a shorter version like the Penang hill's train, and the huge statue wasn't there, and at times there was a dark bat infested cave to venture into with a torchlight, if anyone local could correct me.. But since then on every visit with new bunch of friends it hadn't changed much.
