QURAN/Surah an-Nisa' 157. And for their saying, “We have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.” In fact, they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them as if they did. Those who differ about him are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it, except the following of assumptions. They certainly did not kill him. 158. But Allah raised him up to Himself. Allah is Mighty and Wise.

Relics are venerated, not worshipped by the faithful. Their veneration is not necessary for salvation. If you don’t understand why the Church has relics, simply imagine if a beloved relative has passed away, most people would want to keep things that they used during their lifetime. These things become precious to us. It is part of what makes us human.

Queen Helena, the mother of the Emperor Constantine obtained many relics of Christ's Passion in the early 4th century from the Holy Land, where the apostles had kept them safely since Christ's death, and where the bishops thereafter preserved them in their chapels. No one in their right mind would just throw away such holy objects, they safeguarded them since the day of Christ's death.

honoriuc Same way they got the cross. From the temple of Jupiter in Rome. Augustus Caesar & then the Flavian families heirloom collection. It was Julli & Cleos son Caesarian, that died aged 17 tortured on a cross. In mockery of God their fathers wax effigy on tropharium. The true cross is the Julli Tropharium itself. The knights of the oriental orders cross was the grizzly regicidal relic. From Caesarians brutal execution by his rival Augustus. It's the same reason that papal regalia & vestments are identical to the Caesars cultic regalia. Christ was the cultic title of the Caesars. I'm afraid they've all lied to you mate.

I don't think he would mind all too much. Saints are the examples of what we should be and live like so keeping relics of theirs in order to revere them is just fine. Also it's sort of like keeping an item of someone you admire. Imagine you recieve an autograph or a signature of a moviestar you admire. It's no differient really (well the only difference is that they are of the secular world and saints aren't).

ABSALON some people don’t see it like that. Here in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico we got a lot, and I mean a lot of old and new cathedrals and temples and I’ve seen people walk to the statues and kiss their feet, kneel before them, lower their head before them and pray to them, then walk backwards in reverence to the statue as they leave. They also leave flowers and poor oil on the statues of dead people that existed long ago. Do you really believe that people have not stumbled in their walk with God because of this? The Catholic Church is an abomination and a stumble unto God’s purpose to save souls. Ignorant people just do what they see others, and those who know better only serve as a stumble unto their brothers. But actually, nobody in the Catholic Church really knows because they just accept the doctrine that they’re told without scrutiny. Read for yourself and the Holy Spirit will guide into all truth not the priest that invents that he can forgive sin or that Mary stands between you and Christ, or that dead saints have any knowledge of what happens in earth. Or that you have to do your first communion or that the church is included in the trinity, here in Mexico they call that nonsense the ‘divine providence’, father, son, Holy Spirit and the Holy Church hahaha what garbage. Come out of her while you have the chance

@@lorielanefilipino1660 You are so possed by the new age Jewish lies that you would let your entire country men and women be replaced by moors as long as they say they are Christian. You are just doing exactly what the race that got Jesus Christ killed in the first place want, to dilude Christianity until it no longer has any recognizable features that set it apart from other world religions, to neuter it and use it to facilitate the invasion of the west. Orthodox are the only ones right now that truly follow the word as the Catholics are currently being highjacked by Jesuits, but you prollys are truly killing Europe and its people. Say it with me: Jesus was NOT jewish and he was killed by Jews. Cmon say it, it shouldn't be hard if you truly are a believer.

Love that you shared this scripture. Worshiping things or places is Idolatry. The destruction of a historical place is sad no mater the cause. But as true Christians we must keep in focus that we worship God & not supposed relics or buildings. None of those things are needed. Christ paid it ALL, so we could have a direct relationship in a saved state. If only each person will accept him, repent from his sin, and follow where he leads us. I am finding that the more I submit to our Father, the more amazing my life becomes. His purpose or me is so much better than my sinfulness.
