Safer seas has enough disadvantages to get me going back to high seas. To fish and to make the story missions, safer seas is perfect for that.

Pvp players : give them 4 hours Pve players: you underestimate

The regular game has been so much better since Safer Seas opened. With these people who had no interest in the core PvPvE gameplay removed from the equation, every interaction I've had has felt much better. People generally want to fight rather than run when contesting a World Event, the Skull of Siren Song, etc. and Alliances tend to hold together better when they do form (presumably because it's a greater risk to doublecross competent crews). It might also be pure coincidence, but my communications with rival crews have been way more sporting too. Less slur and swear-slinging, a lot more GGs.

I'm playing with my noobie friends who were too afraid to play the game because they kept hearing about sweats, it's been a great time so far. Once they feel more hooked, we'll go take on the high seas

I only switched to safer seas temporary to get the golden curse brcause people on pvp servers show no mercy for people doing those 1.30 hour missions

Ive always said that sea of theives should have been a completely solo game right from the start and i was sad to see it was ALL! Online some people just want to go solo without the toxic sespool of getting killed 5000 times because apparently THATS FUUUUN!!!!!

I've had this game for almost a week, and only play High Seas strictly for the increased XP gain to get to pirate legend. I've never really been interested in PvP and typically don't bother with it, since typically it's me against 2-4 other players. A 1v1 is fun, but usually it isn't that, and even when I have no loot on my ship (sometimes when I'm done farming I just sail around with no supplies or loot so someone wastes time sinking me) people still typically jump to the sinking option. Thankfully, I don't have to worry much since I typically avoid players easily enough. And for those who say "just get discord and make a group", I don't like people. Good at talking to them when I do, but not fond of doing so. Especially when grinding levels. I just want alone time, a podcast for me to listen to, and the occasional clatter of bones from a slain skeleton. Safer Seas is perfect for Tall Tales or trying to teach my fiancé the basics so she doesn't drop the game outright

High Seas is only worth it during special gold earn events like the one currently with guilded voyages or trying to reach level 50 with the factions to get Pirate Legend. Other than that. Safer Seas is amazing.

Wrong I’ll enjoy exploring, tall tales, voyages, stacking loot, learning how to take down skeleton ships and all the other activities I haven’t done since sea of thieves launched. And I don’t and won’t care about the PvP community who have done everything possible to do in game.

My complaints are it sucks we can't use Captained/Guild Ships (literally no-one cares about other players' ship milestones or guild distinctions) and the nerf to Gold and Rep is too extreme as Gold and Rep are worthless anyway and while I appreciate the nerf is to encourage High Sea play it also make Safer Seas pointless for the players who intended to make the primary way to play or just have time away from the community's toxicity. Imagine being a disabled player who bought SoT because they added Safer Seas so they can play without getting mercilessly ganked by PvP players only to be told "lol, you only get 30% gold and rep is capped. Suffer like the rest."

Funny, but once December arrives I'm setting sail for safer seas and never looking back.

These people have no idea how lucky they are to have safer seas. We just had to deal with it and overcome getting spawncamped. You just had to get better. Its just part of the experience. But to be in a completely sterile environment ill never understand

The Lower cash multiplier is enough to keep me away, also it’s not the same without that feeling of being hunted once you get a ton of treasure

Ah yes, the diverse "player interactions" of being spawn camped in SoT. That's what it's all about! Imagine actually playing world events, couldn't be me and it won't be Safe Seaers either aperently. The other 80% of the game is for nerds. Because PvP is the best part that's why they removed Arena. Bike cuck gameplay loop is King! "I wasted 3 hours of my life, my loot stolen, and emissary rank lost. I was pretty bummed about it. But I think the crew of Athena blessed that stole it are probably more happy to have it then I am sad to lose it. The total happiness of the SoT increased. So, whatever."

I'm all for it. It's bringing me back to playing Sea of Thieves, which was ruined for me because of the toxic PVP tryhard sweatlords wanting to sink anything that moves. Maybe if we're lucky, the PVPers will tire of the game and leave for good.

Oh where were y'all who cry about Safer Seas when arena was around? Bunch of y'all got clapped in there, cried and left. Same shit happens in Hourglass. Ya want easy pickings, not good PvP let's be real.

As a PVP player I love safer seas coz now I know every ship I see on the seas is fair game. Ever since this Great Filter was added to the game, a lot more boats actually fight me instead of running away! And those who do the story on the high seas - well, I'm sorry? I don't know what you're doing, but if you're here now it's YARR PROBLEM!
