Excellent topic, glad you are covering the topics of personal (violent crime and medical) and financial safety. These are the critical factors in determining an overseas location. One topic you should cover more closely in the future is the country's adherence to the rule of law in terms of corruption, in other words are your property rights respected or do you have to worry about having them appropriated/ stolen from you with a sketchy legal system that won't operate to protect you?

Hey Andrew, you rarely if ever mention Japan on your channel. While city living is, especially in Tokyo, extraordinarily expensive, you can get rural housing for dirt cheap, and there are absolutely no restrictions for buying if you are a foreigner. It does not come with a residence permit, but with most passports you are entitled to 180 days per year at 90 day intervals visa free anyway, and for someone applying the trifecta method this is all according to the plan. And of course, if you do not hold a residence permit, you pay no taxes on foreign sourced income. If we are talking about safe places, it is clear that Japan is the absolutely number 1 in the world when it comes to safety, in any regard. You of course are an outspoken city-dweller, but there are also us who prefer peace and quiet away from metropolises.

As someone who's lived in Panama City (2006-2008), I would agree with what Andrew says. You do have to avoid certain areas (e.g. San Miguelito) but otherwise the criminal classes leave you alone. Unlike in Canada, where I'm from, you'll have criminals entering the "well-to-do" areas ... it's not like that in PC. However, I did have the opportunity to visit Uruguay and I would rate that above Panama, esp now with the new residency programs they have there. For all you single guys, Uruguay has absolutely beautiful women and if you're looking to start a family with such a woman, they're well educated there as well (i.e. passing on their higher education genes), as education is free right up to Ph.D. level! Also, I think it's the only Latin American country where you'll go to jail if you bribe police officers. I've had to do that in Panama, Costa Rica, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia. But I was forewarned not to do that with Uruguayan police (good thing too because I was stopped by them in a routine checkpoint) ... so I'm passing on that warning to all of you now.

There's no such thing as "higher education genes" 😂. That's outright insane, it's based purely on environment, same with the children, they might be smarter on average but only because they are around someone who is smart and thus their also more likely to receive a higher quality life & education due to a higher average income level.

PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON THIS!!! I wonder if countries with “low cases” are just testing less and using a lower cycle threshold for the PCR test? I am not concerned about the risks of Covid... overall very low death rate. I am concerned about the response and want somewhere where you can live free with no mandates!!!

I love Costa Rica and I definitely spend a lot of time there but you really need to watch out over there. At a rate of 13.5 murders per 100.000 its higher than most African countries that you wouldn't bat an eye when thinking of moving there (Ivory Coast, Uganda, Nigeria). So ok... but there but... be safe.

But none of those Middle Eastern Arab countries have backpacking camping mountaineering exploring. Its only for people who like city life things of steel and glass. Georgia is the country for outdoor life also has a Christian foundation and ethics that the arabs only imitate temporarily.

Cyprus - Singapore is highly restrictive you can’t even own a car without paying 25k to obtain a license which is limited in numbers.nearly every other city in Colombia is better than Bogota. Cali, Medellin. Central America except Panama is the worst. Panama is good although a drug trafficking highway still very nice. Chile is painfully boring !!! Argentina is the place to be in Latin America . I’ve got 131 countries under my belt

7:05 Georgia is a very poor country. We have our currency "GEL". Tourists sell the dealer and buy GEL. The dollar exchange rate is high for example 1 dollar is 3.11 GEL. So everything is cheap for you 😁😊 Here the store consultant has a salary of 350 Gel...

Agreed. I live in Alabama. It seems to be less safe than it used to. Things have changed for the worst. You won't get robbed on the streets, granted, but you might get gunned down by stray bullets from thugs, or killed by dangerous drivers of which we have them in the thousands here. Just this week in a college city, thugs started shooting around. This is absolutely insane!

HK would still concern me given all that's happened. Just knowing that the CCP now has total control over it, doesn't sit well with me. Since takeover, various individuals tied to news media etc. not in alignment with the CCP were disappeared. Not keen on living in a place where you can speak freely so long as you don't say the wrong thing.
