Oh I see some similarities between the indigenous tribes of the u.s. and these people of the great north. Mother nature is greatly respected by these people. My aunt helen's remains have been scattered on finland's soil. Also my late grandmother is also buried theere. I never got a chance to meet my late grandmother she died of t.b. when her children were still young.

I am of Sami ancestors.... but 3rd generation American. though I don’t know much about it,, I remember my grandparents and their friends always talking Finn, and my grandmothers side of family were Sami..grandfather side were of larger Finn population. Both my grandparents were born in USA but their parents came out of Finland.. there are many Finns where I live... this is so interesting... but my life is comfortable,, I can only imagine how difficult it would have been for them

Sami was traveling to the North of Africa most of them are in the north of Morocco and they called Berber or Amazigh they have blue eyes and are blond they live in the mountain Atlas, and they share culture specially same colour and signs used in the cloths and in necklace,rings ...etc ,more they have same morphology as Sami :)

Most "samis" today are not true samis, this is the hard truth my friends. These false samis are people who came here relatively recently, mainly in the 1700s, 1800s and even in the 1900s. They learned our language and adopted our clothing and voila, they are sami too, almost by magic i'd say. They also got a foothold into reindeer husbandry early on, in early to mid 1800s and immediately started to push out the true samis from their ancient ways, using violence and threats, even murders in some cases, they spread like cancer and i tell you, most of todays reindeer herders are not true samis. They got people involved into politics early on, always benefiting their agenda. A huge part of the true samis are long gone from their ancient ways, many of them succumbed to alcohol abuse and suicide. This ethnic shift is the reason the reindeer business is in such turmoil. The consequences are conflicts, corruption, herds are oversized, lands are overgrazed beyond recognition, the reindeer is in very poor condition and the list just goes on.. They simply don't have the background the true samis had, who lived in tune with nature for centuries and centuries, they don't respect nature, all they care about is having the biggest herd, push others in order to gain lands, having power over others etc.. Do not be deceived my friends. Note that this is mostly true for northern Norway, i don't really know the local histories for northern Sweden and Finland, but there are strong indications that it's the same story there..
